Quick question, are Guard air and cabin filters any good? And if they are decent then what would their change interval be? Will stick to OEM for oil filters though. Also, are their any third party option for fuel filter? Dealership quotes 40k since they change the whole filter assembly.

Can use Guard for air and cabin filters, no issue. Cheap and replaceable.

For oil filter, why would you change the whole assembly? Or are you talking about something else. Engine oil filter isn’t that expensive only use OEM.

I was talking about the fuel filter. The dealership changes the whole assembly and not just the filter component.

I have recently purchased Honda Civic 2011 UG Oriel Prosmatec. The car is drven 106,000 km. I want to change its transmission oil.
Can anyone guide me, which transmission oil is BEST for this car? How much liter did the company recommends to fill? Do I have to change the Transmission oil filter while changing the oil? How to check oil grade for my car?
I need expert suggestions who had the experience.
FYI, I have contacted Honda I-10, isb. They have given me the estimate of 23,000 Rs. In which they will change its oil, filter and washer.

Using Guards products over 20 years. Never a single complain or failure or anything.
Their products are good.
One of close friend using Guard's ATF in his truck where he was using very expensive oil before. He said there is not even one % difference of performance.
i am using their coolants, air filters, oil filters, cabin filters, brake oil, etc.

Hi Guy! I'm posting for the first time here as I'm very confused about the engine oil for my 2 cars.

1. Corolla ALTIS 2018 1.6 Automatic: (30,000 Kms) Genuine
2. Corolla XLI 2013 Manual: (80,000 Kms) Genuine

Both of the cars are just bought by me last week.

1. The Owner of Corolla ALTIS 1.6 had previously used (Toyota Taglon 5w-50 Fully Synthetic) from 0-30,000 Kms.
2. The Owner of Corolla XLI 1.3 Manual had previously used (ZIC 5w-20 Fully Synthetic) From 24,000-80,000 Kms.

I need the suggestion of all the seniors here what oil should I use for both of my cars as I wanted to keep both of the engines perfect. I have seen the User Manual and 5w-30 is suggested there. Should I switch to 5w-30 fully synthetic?

If yes to 5w-30 Fully synthetic then which brand should I opt for? Toyota don't have 5w30 Fully Synthetic. Should I go for the Local Brands? or should I stick to Taglon 5w-50 Fully Synthetic for both of my cars?

So it’s basically my first car. It’s a corolla altis 1.6 2017 and it’s almost 96,000 driven. I did the first oil change 6000km before 5w30. Most of the people told me to go for 10w40. And im confused as hell what oil should i get done with it. Once a person told me your car is making a certain noise because the oil is not thick but there is no wear and tear and my car works perfectly fine too as far as i think. Can anyone help me here to choose the best type of oil for my car. It would be a great help

Here's another tip for other users ~ after buying a car always go through the instruction manual and note down the important things and stick to it ~ you will know 90% more about the car compared to a charsi mechanic or the sooo called "ustaad ji."

Hey guys, need guidance please. I'm thinking to switch from taglon 5w-50 to Mobil1 5w-30 fully synthetic for both of my cars (Altis 1.6 30,000kms) and (xli 1.3 77,000kms zic 5w-20 was used in it before). I have find out authorized dealer at Punjab colony named as Mobil1 spashop and I have plans to stick with this company and grade throughout.

As Altis is used on Taglon 5w-50 should I do flush engine or it would good to just change it?

Also, there would be same oil filter used or I have to purchase from that shop as oil change interval will be after atleast 8k?? @Xulfiqar please guide. Any senior you are also more than welcomed to guide. Thank You.

Your engine runs best on 5w30 semi synthetic lube oil, just change to it, no need for flushing out

A hot oil change on your engine drains 98% of the oil out, the rest 2% trapped in the head drain pools, camshaft towers and crank galleries, wont matter much.

The best choice if 5w-30 for both of your vehicles. Toyota recommends this viscosity for hundreds of their engines worldwide.

No. 2
5w-30 comes in different categories like Fully Synthetic, Partially Synthetic, Semi Synthetic, Synthetic Formula, Mineral, etc. Its mostly confusing to choose. But read the bottle carefully to choose.
For longer intervals like 7-8 (or sometimes people run it upto 10K km), you may go for Fully Synthetic like Total Quartz 9000, 5w-30 or Mobil1 or LM.

For regular change intervals like 4-6K km, any semi synthetic will work great like Kixx, Havoline, Toyota, etc.

I am using 10w-30 Havoline in my both vehicles and changing after 5K.
