Please let me know one proper authentic shop where I can get Shell, Total or Havoline 100% genuine with genuine oil filter. MOBIL1 is a proper authentic shop where I can get oil and filter 100% genuine but as we discussed spending more on this would not be a good idea, so I would need to know a shop where I can find authentic oil and filter. Normally it seems like everyone is selling Fake products.

I scratch the bottle and enter the pin
I verify which oil grade is pour

I just check again renter the pin it show pin is al ready used just to verify

I just check again

Once a pin is verified via sms, it immediately appears to their records that it has been used/consumed.
hence 2nd time requesting the same pin will always pop up the same message i-e it has been used.
so nothing to worry about.

guys, how effective/authentic is this scan and sms system on oil cans.

fake oils are always refilled in original empty cans which are comfortably sold by oil changers in bulk to kabariyas and the same original cans are filled in with fake oils and supplied in market.

even if a can is having fake/refilled oil, the scan will still lead to actual website of genuine manufacturer. also, the sms codes are usually not used and they remain unscratched - majority of the times - i think very very few people actually have info or care about this verification - so - in this case too, a can having unscratched code can still have fake oil inside and on sending the code via sms, the authenticity confirmation will be received.

visit Metro cash and carry for genuine Havoline product line and Guard products.

if you are near Gulshan area, go to MM Oil Lube near Maskan - they have everything of all brands you mentioned and 100% authentic.

caltex has own several outlets for oil sale.

metro has pretty much all brands...

Every blending company like Caltex, Total, Shell, ZIC, etc. sale their products through main dealers/investors who buy fluids in thousands of liters from them.

Example. The company PEL, Dawlence, Haier, etc. don’t have their direct sales centers. But there are investors who buy their products from them in thousands and supply to their distribution centers.

Here in Lahore, we have all those main dealers sitting in Badami Bagh like Pakistan Oil Store, Kasur Oil Store, Butt Brothers, etc. You can walk in there and can buy any lube with eye close because they sell 101% authentic products. So there must be similar distributors in Karachi too sitting somewhere in main auto markets. I am surprised that why no one has idea about them in Karachi.

I have been using 10W30 in my corolla grande but by mistake my driver changed to 20w50 engine Oil. Is it possible to revert back to 10w30 grade as I drove it for just 3 days. My vehicle mileage is 125000 Kms. If any expert around can guide on this.?

Its not a big deal, on the next oil change use 10w-30... If u see any bluesmoke after that from the exhaust, then revert to 20w-50

Not a big deal change it back to 10w30

Mere pass vitz hai 2008 model uss ka gear cvt hai . Mujhy itna knowledge nhi hai uss me konsa gear oil use hoga menee change krwana hai . Kindely koi bhai bta dy jis ko knowledge hoo. Qk pahly bhi mera ik gear issi waja se kharab hogya tha galat oil dalny ki waja se phir mujhy gear change krna pra jo k 50000 ka mila tha tub .

Jo bhi bhai janta hoo bta dyn konsa cvt oil daly ga or konsa grade ka ?

Havoline Formula 10W-30 is now API SP / ILSAC GF-6A.

However, Caltex' website still has the old API SN Plus datasheet.

Chevron/Caltex (Havoline) lubes are really good and at a good price. Good 0w20 and 5w30 suitable for all cars built after 2007-8.

If someone wants additional certifications in an oil like EU specs ACEA then it costs a bit extra but not really worth it.
