Surprised, Have been using Total 0W20 in my city 2018 and never had issues on cold start in Islo and Lhr cold season.

yep - 40 to 80 litre engine sump capacity depending on the engine and its configuration. The change time is dictated by engine hours and total fuel used.

Now that the thread has mentioned the oil pump, it is time to ask a pertinent question?

What provides the majority of the force that gets enough oil into journals to prevent metal-to-metal contact in a running engine?

don't know about cars....

the powerplant in sahiwal has pumps that actually jack up the rotor of the steam turbine (yes you read it right)

the oil pressure in journal bearing ports lifts the rotor up, before it is made to spin. then the pressure is lowered when it reaches operating speed, since the journal bearing can maintain oil film with much lower pressure now.

Maybe cars use witchcraft... or maybe the oils are magnetic, like castrol magnatec or they use zddp to make a strong film

What is this 'FEEL' thing anyway ? I have used multiple oils and wasted tons of money to get the 'FEEL' of a certain oil but alas! I have never been able to experience it.

The most common one I've heard is "the car feels very light after I changed to insert oil name"

Car only feels slightly light whenever you change oil grade
Other than that, there's no major difference in feel if you stick to same grade

So, it improves fuel economy as well?
After FEEL comes this: improved fuel economy atleast by 2-4 km/l as claimed by the guys selling this.

Sometimes engine noise reduces a little bit, incase you shift from 10w40 to 0w20
And throttle response, acceleration improves little bit
( I think it can happen when you return to correct grade after using wrong grade)

I have yet to find this.. People can actually "FEEL' an engines smoothness - that too on a shaky 4 cyl.
