I got mixed up in this Amsoil mashoori as well. I was already using Total 0w20 and shifted to Amsoil just to check and experiment as i heard people claiming it increased horse power , decreased engine noise and improved mileage as well. I have found 0 difference after driving my car for 3500 kms and now i plan to switch back to Total after 5k kms.

when you are buying top class oils from any of the local brands, the performance is similar, be it shell, caltex or total, they are all great oils.

People who use these oils give crazy reviews all the time . It's like a virus spreading crazily.

Most of these are people with non-engineering background or non technical in general.

90% don't know that Thermostat valve and Pcv valve must be in proper working condition for good lube oil performance.

Placebo effect or they don't want to admit that the expensive and elite oil they're using is no different than the ones available in the market.

Total quartz 9000 0w20 isn't cheap either. I think it's under rated

Yes a lot of Amsoil fron unknown sources have been imported in pakistan which is obviously not up to match of Genuine Amsoil .

Previously the Amsoil gallon was around 7500pkr when dollar price was 100pkr
Now at the current rate of dollar to 150pkr these scums are selling it for 7500pkr how is it possible?

I have imported my shipment of Ams oil for my own vehicles with all charges included costs me around 11000pkr per gallon so fraud at its peak this expensive oil has counterfeits now readily available in the market so guys buy from trusted persons not from online junk seller

So I have been using liqui moly mos2 10w40 for around 60k now, intially after switching from 20w50 petromin I did notice that the car seemed to be lighter and more responsive but the rising cost of the oil is disturbing. I use the VIC oil filter and change at 7k or 7.5k intervals and the engine is the notorious oil drinking 1zzfe and around I think it consumes 500ml on the oil change. If I am to go to alternate oil which should I choose? The car has currently done about 220k kms and gives a average of 10.5 in city and around 14 on long.

Use any standard 10w40 oil for that. Zz is a oil drinking engine at high mileages so not to worry about it
