Use only imported oils for imported cars. Never use local oils otherwise your car have to see workshop twice an year atleast.

The place I got my oil from in Karachi used to roll out about 80 drums a day. Even a simple suzuki mehran showing up could get 3 litres Havoline motor oil at drum rates (very cheap) and a guard/vic/qaim oil filter at wholesale price and then get it changed right there for Rs 20/- along with new copper seal washer. I liked the guy's style of business, simple and open. For FUCHS I called them up and they delivered to any nearest place.

Most people have developed a bad habit of cheating but one can sift through cheaters easily.

Its not just in Pakistan, here in Houston you see 10 dollar oil change specials all day long on some shady mechanic shops and even some dealerships - they use the worst product (cheap as stale cow poo) and oil filters that cost 50 cents a piece.

Please give us the contact number or adress of that place in karachi where u used to change your car oil thanks.

Can anyone here suggest me that which oil to use in Honda City(when there is need to), as the car has done only 150 KM till now, Honda dealer advised us to change the oil first time at 1000 KM then every 5000 KM, but which oil is the best for City?

I have seen Total Diesel oil is cheaper then Delo Gold, And total has better spec, what do you guys think should i switched to total. I am using it in my Generator. I have found PSO oil dirt cheap as compared to any other brand don't know why :S

Mobil Delvac 1 is available here if you need for Mercedes OM601 diesel. Delo Gold Ultra comes close everything else is good for regular use only.

I will say that we should use engine oil according to car's requirement and oil grade and not to go for fancy brands only go for something that suites your car. Like on pw many members promote to use synthetic oils iridium plugs silicon 8mm wires. If a guy with 300k kms on his motor puts that oil i am sure he would end up emptying his wallet and rather then protecting it would blow the seals and major leaks will occur. Synthetic blend is meant to be used on new cars to reduce engine wear and tear and increase life. Here in Pakistan people think if the use LM Mobil or any good brand then their car will perform very well. That"s not true. And dont drag simple mineral oils to 5-6k km. A nice drain interval would be 3k km for mineral and 5-6k for synthetic. Oil wont cost much but yes repairing a bad engine may cost a lot. When i was in Pakistan i was using LM synthetic in my Honda Civic and drain interval was 4.5-5k and Delo Gold in my Land Cruiser. Use OEM filter and get original oil and your engine will pay you back. If you use gawalmandi or badami marka oil then its your fault, never let the mechanic pour the oil they will suggest the one which has most profit. As i also told before a friend of mine came to Pakistan after long time he didn't knew much about engine and stuff, he bought W220 E class Mercedes and went for oil change unfortunately he was struck into mechanic's buttery words and he poured havoline motor oil 20W-50 in his 30K driven car and it made a lot of problem for him. Before using or switching oil ask from experts like zulifiqar bhai and goodman7.

I think that one should not change oil brand if he is facing no problem. Changing oil brands again and again effects engine.
