Does anyone here know from where does Honda Pak get their oil and air filters?

Used to use genuine Honda air filter and it was awesome, but suddenly one filter was extremely restrictive (bad batch?) (appx March 2022) (changed to aftermarket temporarily)...
need to buy another again but apprehensive of their quality this time (dont want to waste another 4000 to 5000 Rs on a bad filter)...

Honda gets the engine oil from idemitsu which is a very reputable company from Japan. Almost all OEMs in Pakistan have shifted to idemitsu for engine oils since they started their factory.
Oil filters are Honda OEM product from Thailand. Not sure about air filter where it's made.

I get the oil from Total. Honda's Oil filters are satisfactory.. But yes, that one airfilter was bad. I dont know was it intentional change of design/filtering material or what. But it was too restrictive (average dropped to barely 4,5 km/lit from 12 km/lit within city).

Hey, does anyone here use guards oil regularly, what has the experience been like?

Also any idea what is the going rate for 10w-30 from a decent brand like PSO or Caltex ?

Xulfiqar sb issue is warranty, all new entrants have zero parts locally available and all of them are imported which makes them expensive. With the import restrictions people have to wait months for to even get hold a s simple generator.

hello everyone i am trying to switch oil grade and manufacturer used Honda sn but I'm not satisfied as the economy is decreasing i have almost one lac mileage on the odo which grade and manufacturer is highly recommended and a Petronas oil change would be better than Honda SN ? any one . I need feedback on Totachi Brand Engine Oils. I heard they have good fuel efficiency and are very good. I own honda civic 1800cc 2018 model. Please guide accordingly the grade i have been using in 5w30 and thats mobil 1 i need a switch over from mobil 1 to totachi. Please guide. CHeers

Did you try Total API SP one? (same 5w30). Economy decreasing must be other reason.

Hello.. can you please tell me from where you are getting Mobil-1 in Pak? I searched a little bit (want to try their 5w30) but couldnt find anything on their official Pakistani distributor's website.

Shell has a semi synthetic oil that is good for 5000km, Total has Quartz 5W30 works for a lot of people but me personally didn't get satisfactory results with it - I have used Zic X9 5W40 almost exclusively it is a bit more expensive than the rest but doesn't break down even after 10k kms of rough/highway use, some people even use it for longer up to 1 year or 12000kms, it does great mileage and engine noise is relatively lower, another alternative is Kixx PAO 5W40 but personally never used it so can't recommend, if budget is low then stick to Honda, if you want to spend a bit more go for X9 given that your usage is more than 2000km per month to justify the price and change interval of 5-6 months.

Mobil is leaps and bounds ahead of that Lawaris oil.. some russian thug owns that brand it has nothing to do with having a Japanese name.. If you're using 5w30 Mobil then you would love Zic X9 5W40 Oil - much more robust and doesn't break down even after 10,000km use.

i used purchase it from faisalabad mobil one auto spa at canal road. But now there is a shortfall.

5w30 and 5w40 are entirely different oils by viscosity at operating temperature (100 degree C). The w40 one is at 14 cSt whereas the w30 one is around 10 cSt..
I had tried once using 5w40 instead of 5w30 (only for 2000 km). Engine noise increased, fuel economy dropped, power was almost 50% of original.. It was clear that engine was working VERY hard...

Assalamo Alaikum Sir..
Want to ask a question about Steering..
my car's steering wheel start turning/rotating to left as soon as I unhold the steering... It is more pronounced at slower speeds (within few feet the car change lane automatically)..
..
What can be the issue??
I mean what should I check apart from tyres, ball-joint, steering rack (just changed with a kabuli but unrepaired piece).??.
Tie Rod length (unequal can cause this behavior?) (the left turning tendency started around 20,000 km ago ON factory installed steering and tie rods, ball joints etc)...
Different Shocks on either side? (Put Right shock of Rebirth, Left of Reborn)...
Or can this be caused by steering pump? (steering pump was in factory specs (never touched) when this behaviour started)..

Been done 3,4 times... When the problem started, I thought its alignment issue.. The alignment guys told me that alignment is 100% fine, its suspension problem... now no one knows...
