keep using 5w30. I have similar gli running on 5w30. It was previously on 20w50 due to dealership practice but after embracing the oil knowledge by @Xulfiqar and other experts here, I have switched the car to 5w30 and running fine ma sha Allah. The car feels very agile and robust when compared with its sluggish drive on 20w50. The fuel mileage has also improved.

How much oil it is reducing? Please tell us the position of the oil reduced on the dipstick after 1000 KM drive?

Thanks for your suggestion, I will be a bit careful and change at around 8,000 km. My runs are short with a lot of Stop-Starts. My 10K will come before a year of running.

I have purchased 2012 gli around 102k driven previous owner was using Toyota petron 20 50 i poured 5 30 zic it starts reducing after 1000 kms i changed to 10 40 it also reduced half liter 2500 kms milage i changed to Toyota petron 20 50 again after 2200 kms it also reduced half liter oil. Machnic says it will take 2 to 3 oil changes as these engine needs carbon to run due to previous usage of 20 50

Yeah. When you switch to a fully synthetic oil for such an old vehicle, most probably the valve seals would have leaked.

Now what should i do keep using 20 50 will it fix my problem?

Unlikely, but see if you can make it from oil change to oil change without a top up. If not, then you will have to pop it

Currently i am using Zic.A+..My freind asked me to use Ardeca 5w30 ? Is it good oil?

JazakAllah bro , i went to TOYOTA EASTERN MOTORS, i discussed with their senior manager Parts, Fahim Shb, service manager and service advisor all said use 5w30, there will be no issue on 700000 millage inshaAllah, after changing the grade there is big difference in pickup and sound, i feel it become very light and smooth. they also changed fuel filter for better performance.

2 lac mileage doesn't mean anything. I'm using Havoline 10w-30 in my 5 lac 50 thousand driven VTi.

Just use any reasonably priced 5w-30 or 10w-30.
