hmm Rs 400 for 20 litres conc acid - thats cheap, the 5 litre bottle I buy is Rs 250/-

Very easy you can source Pyro from Lahore, pyro told me he can ship in parts of panjab but not to Karachi.

@Xulfiqar Can you please tell me where did you buy lab grade sulphuric acid and distilled water in Karachi (which you mentioned in Post#4 and Post#16 The battery dealer told me he will use branded 1250 AGS supplied acid but then I got to know there is nothing such as AGS supplied acid and he sources it from somewhere and I am not to sure what quality distilled water is used to make that. I want to prepare my own batteries. Would request the shop name / person name or any contact number would be great.

I don't think anyone uses lab grade H2SO4. It's too expensive. I bought a 2.5 litre bottle about 4 years back for about Rs.800. Image below. The acid they use in batteries is probably for industrial use. Now a days nobody sells small quantities of acid. I still have the 2.5 litre bottle with me, I used some but eventually I bought Pyro. Preparing your own electrolyte is a risky business. I would suggest you get it from Pyro. But don't get the bottles they charge more for those. Get the 30 liter can, it costs about 1200 in Lahore. I think.

Also I am in Karachi and Pyro doesn't sell in Karachi, I asked him to courier me, he checked with few companies and none agreed to transport liquid chemicals. What do I do in the situation. I am desperate to protect my investment and want the batteries to last more than 3 years at least.

Normally gravity comes to standard i.e. 1.200 ( jise 1200 kehte hein) after 3,4 charging discharging cycles.if its not gone to standard, check whether cut off voltage is right or some problem there.electrolyte level decrease issue is mainly due to over charging or bad cell condition.but ur batteries r new so cells would be fine,over charging seems not the case bcz gravity is low.check on daily basis for 2,3 days. Phir dekhte hein.

Before thinking of sulphuric acid see some videos on its effect.. It being poured in rubber .. It melts it. See pictures of women who are defaced by acid to see how dangerous it is.. I urge Talha to upload this warning in naked to all in first post at the top..

Dear @asjdsm thanks for the warning. I understand it. I will be using rubber gloves and a mask and goggles before attempting this. My best effort is to get premixed electrolyte pyro from Lahore if that is not possible then I will go for this.

Hope you all are doing good.
I just went through this post maintaining car/ups batteries.
I wanted to ask a few questions regarding that in which ur help would be highly appreciated.
I have a ups connected to two battieries. It been almost a year that we are using it. My cousin used to maintain the batteries but he went abroad.
Now the ups previously used to work 5-6 hrs continuously in case of transformer problem and long loadshedding. But not it hardly reached 2 hrs.
I wanted to ask what should i do in this case? I have a hydrometer with me but i dont know how to use it. Can you teach me use it?? Thanks brothers. Awaiting hour response!

Get hold of distilled water you will find it from shops selling lab equipment, some pharmacies close to hospitals may also have it since it is used in hospitals. Or you can make your own distilled water, the process is very simple. Go to the battery guy and ask him to prepare electrolyte with your distilled water. That is good enough for batteries.

@ser_gtr Today I went to lab shops in Urdu bazar and the guy flatly refused to sell Sulphuric acid. he said they only sell to labs. Can any body help in this regard from Karachi?

Guys today I went to market and kept going round and round for 2.5 hours in heat and Roza but as someone had already predicted the store owner refused to sell sulphuric acid plain and simple. He told me I can't give it and no body else will, he said the only way out is to buy from battery Wala. I said they make Electrolyte in tap water and I want to make it my self with distilled water so battery lasts longer. He said I can't give it even if you pay me extra. I then offered him to keep a copy of my ID card and get written on stamp paper etc and he said.. no.. nops.. negative.. I can't give it.

Can any bro ship pyro electrolyte from Lahore? The problem is that Pyro guy says that courier companies and Daewoo don't accept liquid and chemicals so he can't ship it. The leopards courier guy in Lahore told me that my only luck is to try bus stands in band road and Sabzazaar. Can any bro buy 30 Litre electrolyte can from Pyro and ship with Desi bus walas? I have to get over this thing as family is suffering from daily load shedding with only 1 poor battery fan.

You have been caught with OCD. Just get it from battery wala n dont make urs n urs family's life difficult.

The pyro battery water and battery electrolite both in 500ml plastic bottle. You have to meet the manager of that section on the floor, he will arrange for you on your special order if you need 30liter packing.
