If this problem is with one ceiling fan then the ceiling fan is the culprit not the ups.............. if all the ceiling fans do the same, then ups is in problem........
check the working off any other fan on ups

switch on the ups......wapda off...........run fan.........when ups transformer starts sounding.........then feel the temperature of plates where transistors are installed........... i think one side of transistor plate is gone short.

Lastly I have checked the setup about the transistors as you told bro but there was normal heat as usual. However i will post the pics of transistor setup too for your consideration.

I bought two new AGS 100 batteries. On reaching home batteries were warm. I decided not to connect till it cools. While battery was OK, the temperature of the other shot up. It became hot. Can this anomaly be attributed to tap water?

As recommended earlier to me on my previous posts, I topped up the batteries with Pyro Distilled water, instead of adding electrolyte to increase the SG to 1250. It's been a week and when I checked today, the water level had only slightly dropped but the SG is still not above 1230 in any cell.

1) Another thing I noticed today is that after a full charge, the voltage on both batteries dropped down to 24.86V, one battery was at 12.46V while the other one was at 12.40V. Is this safe or is it a sign of batteries dying???

2) Just yesterday light was out for 6 Hours, UPS had load of three ceiling fans for 4 hours and the fans did not slow down even slightly, but I turned off the UPS thinking I don't want it to discharge completely. When the light came back Wapda voltage was around 210-215V but it took the UPS around 7 hours to completely charge the batteries with 13A trickle wire connected. Is this OK???

When electrolyte is added in new AGS batteries.......Some batteries heat up because of following reasons:
1: Electrolyte was warm when poured in battery.
2: Battery was old 4 to 5 months......

Basically these batteries are dry charged.............when electrolyte is added, a chemical reactions start which warm up the battery. its not because of TAP water.....

If battery is warm only.............gravity is normal then battery is perfectly fine...............if it decreased specific gravity along with warmness , then battery is faulty

Its fine and perfect............such slight difference between volts of batteries is negligible.........U sued 3 fans for 4 hours and ups restored the charging in 7 hours is quite normal and good setting.............it is as it should be

What I meant was when the batteries were new, after a full charge the batteries would only reduce to voltages between 12.60V to 12.80V if I remember correctly. But yesterday I saw them to reduce to 12.40V, so you are saying that's safe and nothing wrong with the batteries?

If so what's the lowest voltage the batteries should not drop to after a full charge, indicating a bad battery???

Even after using for 4 hours, the UPS showed 240V output and the fans were running strong, meaning no sign of battery weakness. But I turned off the UPS thinking I should not discharge the batteries fully. I also did this thinking when the light comes back the batteries will take lesser time to recharge if they are not discharge completely. Was I correct to think these two things???

If your ups is tuned properly, then it should switch off ups at 21 to 22 Volts..... properly tuned ups dont deep discharge the battery.

Terminal volts drop with the passage of time...........Back up time is the main test for finding battery health........n ur batteries are healthy........

can be anything, he could have poured a very dirty electrolyte, or freshly prepared electrolyte without allowing it to cool down which is very bad for batteries.

i would advise you to order 30 liters from pryo chemicals, have it properly flushed and pour new inside it.

After a full charge, and after disconnecting charger from battery, if the battery voltage is constant at 12.6v for at least 12 hours, it means battery is in good condition. If it drops voltage sooner, it means, the battery is not able to retain charge, due to age, abuse or other factors. 12.4v is not ideal, but is is not something you should be too worried about.

I filled the batteries on an uneven surface, I noticed the electrolyte in some cells is about 10mm above the full mark, is this fine or should I take electrolyte out?

dont remove.........level electrolyte in all cells by taking electrolyte from the cell which has more, and add in the lesser one.....
