Can any one tell me:
Assume that I have Power factor of 0.9 while UPS is of 1 KVA ( 900 Watt)
1. How to calculate Load on UPS? E.g. If I have 1 KVA UPS, What it means? Am i right here:
Case 1: 10 Fans ( 80 x 11) = 880 Watt (978 VA) can run on this System
or
Case 2: 48 Energy Savers of 20 Watt ( 45 x 12) = 960 Watt( 1000 VA) can run on this System
2. Back Up time: If above calculation is ok, then how can i choose appropriate Battery? Lets say if i choose Lets say Exide 195 which has 170 AH, so how can i calculate Backup Time?
Case 1: Each fan is of 80 Watt so this means, 80 Watt per Hour will be utilized by Each Fan.
So if i run 1 Fan only it can run up to 2 Hours( It consumes 80 Watt or 89 VA per Hour) so in 2 hours, it will consume 178 AH
Case 2: Each Saver is of 20 Watt so this means, 20 Watt per Hour will be utilized by Each saver.
So if i run 3 Savers only it can run up to 2.5 Hours( they consume 60 Watt or 67 VA per Hour) so in 2.5 hours, it will consume 167.5 AH
3. how to check Specs. of UPS? Stickers or La belling from my 15 Years old Locally Manufactured UPS have all disappeared. It is working OK yet
(i) I want to know Capacity of my UPS, whether it is 1000 VA or 700 VA or 500 VA
(ii) wHAT IS UPS Charging Voltage?(At which UPS is recharging my battery)
How can i calculate above readings without any document/sticker/invoice if i have to calculate only with the help of Digital Multimeter ?
