Hydrometer is not an uncommon equipment, it can be bought from any battery shop. Secondly, if you intend to buy Sulfuric Acid then I would advise you to arrange Distilled water first and ask a battery shop to do things for you in your own supervision. Worst come, you are unable to arrange distilled water then follow the advice given to HellsGuardian. I am not located in Karachi so cannot advice you regarding the location.

I understand, people face problems preparing distilled water and then electrolyte. What, I recommend is that you buy 20 Liter big bottle of NESTLE, take it to the battery guy. Ask him to prepare the electrolyte using clean Sulphuric Acid and Clean Container. Pay some extra, get the entire job done in front of you and get it filled in your battery after wards.
Although, I don’t recommend anything other distilled water but I guess due to availability issue, NESTLE water will still be better than ordinary Tab water. But, later strictly follow distilled water for re-topping your batteries.

How can i check if he is using good sulphuric acid to prepare electrolyte

Once, I buy sulfuric Acid then I specifically tell the guy to give me clean Acid. At times, it’s very dark but I guess that does not matter. Distilled water is what really matters once you mix things.

Depends upon your budget, Your UPS seems like one battery UPS so either you can try Volta N175 or Phoenix 215.

Thanks for the input bro... laikin yahan sirf AGS, EXIDE aur OSAKA available hain. Dealer is asking 14000 for 27 plate NS 200 exide battery and 15500 for 27 plate gx 200F ags battery. Are the prices reasonable? Which one is better? koi aur model behtar hay to wo bata do. Info urgently needed plz.

you can also consider buying Osaka NS220. I have been using it from last 2.5 years and no issues so far.

Honestly, you should not care about the brand. Consider only AH-Rating and that’s it. All of them are made up of same spongy lead and Lead-oxide. I am no expert which brand is better but did had a bad experience with Volta 175 as battery died with first three months. Dealer refused to honor the warranty even once informed him regarding the faulty battery within first 10 days of purchase. Voltage would drop to 1 Volts in a very short span and dealer would present all sorts of wrong excuses, which clearly showed that he knew jack about the stuff and would not entertain any data presented to him. Warranty in opinion is the biggest fraud in this country. But that can happen to any battery not just Volta. Unlucky I guess.

I have changed my ups kit with a kit that does not restarts the computer. The kit also includes a trickle charger, now i am facing another problem. I have set the output of the ups voltage at 255. When i switch one fan on ups it works fine, but if two or three fans or (on) state, suddenly all fan speed reduces at very low.

Can u plzz help me......

The kit is with over load protection.....

Don’t bother, as I have already said that UPS have been designed for Resistive Load. Once you kick in the fans then that falls under the category of Inductive load. Power factor changes, which results in abnormal behavior of fans. Maybe changing capacitors on Fan or putting a capacitor on UPS line may do the trick. Little help is available on internet regarding this that’s why cannot propose how we can add capacitor to the UPS line which may do the trick.

try replacing their capacitors and make sure they are of proper ratings

No not at all. I dont have its answers but if manufacturer has installed it in past on your UPS and you removed it then consider installing it again just like saadzz case is.

Yes!

I removed the capacitor which was installed on the output....... Now i can hear some noise from fans whhich is natural as desi ups are in square wave form but nevertheless all fans are running on same speed.

I have a 1.2KW Deutsche Power UPS. I am using 2 135Ah Batteries in series, since it's a 24V DC system.
A few days back my batteries went completely dry since i forgot to check the electrolyte level for almost a month. Now when i filled up the batteries and reconnected them to the UPS, i noticed that the UPS never stops charging them. Before this incident, the UPS was running perfectly fine charging the batteries at around 6AMPs.
But now, it does not stop at all and dries up the batteries in just a week. It's currently charging at 11 AMPs with a Voltage of 27.3V at the terminals. Even after a charge of 4-5Hrs the no load voltage of batteries does not go beyond 25.4V (No load voltage is with the UPS removed from the terminals.)
These batteries are more than a year old and i got this UPS about 4 months back. Before this, i was using a locally made UPS which got screwed up and started charging the batteries at 20AMPs.
Any suggestions on what should be done? Should i get the UPS checked or batteries replaced. UPS used to perform exceptionally well before the 'drying up' incident. It used to charge at 2-10AMPs, depending on the voltage of the batteries. But i guess the batteries are never reaching the minimum voltage for the UPS to stop charging.
Btw, i got the gravity checked from a shop and they said that it is 1250.
