Maintaining UPS/car batteries

Just chked the batteries get super hot on charging as well. What might be the reason?

The battery is not reaching cut-off voltage and the UPS is trying to continuously charge the battery until it reaches cut-off voltage. In this situation, batteries will overheat. You might want to try slow charging and discharging them a couple of times to see if they improve, but more likely you're going to need new batteries.

It is something to do with the dried up state? will putting in freshly prepared acid from battery shop help?

Abhi taak fully drain hoi hai aapki battery??? And after 1 hour of loadshedding, how long does it take to charge it fully???

Not yet fully discharged ...... it takes 45-60 minutes to charge after 1 hour of loadshedding.

My batteries are two months old. Used Pyro electrolyte. shared here

module in 2nd pic is causing problem.

Lastly could you tell me how much I should sell my old batteries for, they are two batteries of National brand 130N model, one has a bad cell and the other one is working fine, so would they sell for same price or different and for how much???

78rs per kg is what I was quoted by battery wallas. 2400 for dead 175ah ags battery.

Bought 30 litre can for 800 from pyro chemicals model town, bank sqaure market,Lahore
And yes they provide container with 30litre electrolyte.

Is this Pyro thingy available in rawalpindi or islamabad.
I am unable to find pure sulphuric Acid.
And my ags 175 battery is only giving me 1 hour usage for 1pc and one modem and 21 inch lcd after one cell was repaired.

Now i want to buy another battery but do not want it to be filed with poor electrolyte

I have homage ups Matrix 1000 with Volta NS175 battery. The ups is making too much noise when battery is charging and during when Wapda is gone and ups is providing backup. In both cases fan noise is too much.

Also battery back up is only 3 hrs when one or two savors are running with 21 inch tv. Whereas battery is 3 years old. Is 3hrs back up is just fine or not?

Can experts tell me why fan is making too much noise and less back up?

UPS fan is making noise because of dust and dryness. its very simple to fix by yourself. Best is replace ups fan with new on. 2nd temperarory solution is oiling the fan after cleaning the open ups with blower

I myself servicing the fan of ups by using blower and still voice is there after cleaning the fan.

of what size??? You can add batteries as much u can but it will take a long time to charge.

with the passage of time and usage the ampere storage capacity reduces .....

currently i have exide 80 amp battery.
i want to add another battery AGS 90 amp.
my question is, will it work? because i heard there are separate 24v ups for two battery setup.

If you have 12 volt ups system then you can attach them in parallel.

My battery is 4 months old and it was giving me 5-6 hour backup in winter. now suddenly backup dropped to half hour. i gave it to dealer and he said ups is faulty.clamp meter showed <2 amp charge.
so yesterday bought new homage ups 600 watt but problem still same.
i shorted the terminal with a wire and it creates heavy spark.
what could be the issue ??
total load is 200 watt approx.

i have a question from the experts and respectable members
what is the minimum life of battery (AGS 60 )
i have put AGS 60 in my vitz around about 7- 8 months back max
today when i start the car it didnt start after inspection from 2 -3 electrician i was told by them that my battery is dead so unfortunely i have to get another battery
but i am very much shock that how come after using 7-8 month battery become useless

if experts can help me in the matter what will be the possible reasons?
