Just asking for my knowledge
How much does it cost ? Brandnew A3 is for 38 lacs but 1.2ltr variant ! Which model do you have ? 2013 ? How much will it cost if I import one ?

Mine is 2015 model, importing will cost almost same. A3 facelift is coming next year so right now booking has stopped and will start for next year by November. Both engine 1.2T and 1.8T A3 has been stopped due to facelift model has been launched in Europe.

Mate how is the paint job on your car? Honestly speaking the paint quality on my brothers black turbo is horrible. It has orange peel in many areas, especially around the trunk and rear fenders. Very disappointed and a bit worried because mine will be arriving soon and I've booked modern steel metallic which is also a dark color.

Have you looked closely at yours in daylight?

Paint job of Atlas is famous for its being from Atlas. My white Oriel was seriously dull, the paint felt faded and dry and completely cloudy. However a visit to @ahmad_yar bhai and the car completely changed its appearance. Since mine is white I didn't go for glass coating and instead went for 2 layers of sealant after autoscrub and light cutting. And the after effects are also worth every penny. But since you are getting a darker color go for glass coating eyes closed. I think he charges 30-35k for 2 layers.

Though I asked him to avoid cutting much as that would thin out the paint so have to tolerate some orange peel for future margin of cutting. Minimum cutting done only for removal of cloudiness, still, here are the results of sealant

Rear fenders are fine
However orange peel is there around the no. Plate area on trunk but still not that much
Paint job is fine ALHAMDULILLAH , however due to poor workmanship I have seen a few cars ( new civics ) with bad paint quality..
The bad things is how they clean and handle the car after dispatch .. my car was covered with layers and layers of mud dust and dirt , i gave them MF cloths for cleaning the car after body wash still when I came back home I noticed few swirls here and there on the Bonnet ! That felt really bad ..
After washing with meguiars wash n wax thrice and after waxing it with ultimate paste wax , few swirls have gone ( or masked as Ali bhai said ) but few are still there

Dont worry modern steel metallic is a nice color IN SHA ALLAH there wont be any issue in your car

But still i think If I park my turbo there under so many white lights after washing and waxing with meguiar products it will have same shine and attraction
I know ahmed bhai is very talented and no doubt he is the best one there , but lights ka bhi role hai saaein

Nice one , what are you doing regarding the requirement of HOBC? Dont know about availability in khi but lahore is completely dry. Now Honda atlas are pushing oil companies to produce or import more HOBC to make more sales of civic

What did they use for cutting? Sand paper or rubbing compound? Cause I think some light cutting with rubbing compound may reduce the orange peel if it's there.
The results on your car are great. I'll definitely pay Ahmed Yar bhai a visit.

MashaAllah that's good to know your paint job is better than most. I guess I'll just ask the dealership to not wash or clean my car. I can do it at home myself once I take delivery.

Just a light cut polish (mild compound). Yes that slightly reduces the orange peel which when later masked with sealant and waxes fills and makes the peel further less visible.
