Yes bro today I've researched alot in the market and have decided to go with japanese alto vxr dash.... People here have put alto vxr dash in their mehrans and fx... Plus the engine is of Alto hence this dash will surely complement with the engine... Moreover the coure dash was hell expensive and rare along with its samaan... This alto vxr dash is damn cheap and in abundance along with its parts.... Insha-Allah i hope with skillful work I'd be able to successfully put it in mehran....

Brother my only concern was rpm meter with automatic indicators PRND2L.... Mehrans own dash is pathetic... I had no problems with that dash but it wasn't compatible (doesn't has enough space) with rpm meter

YES great.

Please buy complete unit including the ac air box, vents etc because mehran airbox is pathetic with only 02 vents in the centre and a lousy air blower.

This remains me of people driving suzuki car with toyota corolla wheelcups or daewoo racer car with audi or mercedes logos. Keeping something different is a good thing but please keep the mehran dash. DOnt kill mehrans look. baki ap ki marzi

Bro bs mehran mehran nahi rahi ...... lekin mere case may sab kuch suzuki ka hi hoga bas better generation ka stuff lagay ga..... ab outside or exterior look total stock mehran ka hoga but inside total different ..... 660cc automatic engine, power windows, power brakes, alto dash..... chunkay yeh project car hay to experiments karnay may mujhay koi harj nahi as long as aik achi car ban jati hay .... i hope my project will inspire owners of old mehran cars for an upgrade

yes you are absolutely right.

@qazishehryar you can do one thing. stick with the stock dashboard and save money. just spend some bucks on getting this meter installed in place of mehrans meter. this belongs to 95-98 suzuki alto Japanese model. its meter will be available in markets where imported parts are sold. they will have the indicators for gears as well as some more features likes doors indication, hazard, check engine, fuel.,

I'll try to find it bro and if i find it i'll be happy to stick with mehran's dash.... if not, i'll go with the ALTO VXR Dash as it has much more possibilities plus place for double 2 din PRE/Android Panel place

Good going so far...by the way back in 1989, it was called suzuki Alto. The names like Khyber, Mehran, Bolan etc came up by mid 1990s.

Yes brother Mehran is actually 2nd Generation Alto but locally has been branded as Mehran

I am proud to tell you guys that installing ALTO VXR's dash in Mehran is totally a possibility and requires only a bit of effort. My bro @dani_kk helped immensely for this....

Found a free dash khooka from kabari for fitting, experiment and alteration purposes so that if it fits i'll buy a 10/10 dash for it:

The upper three nuts are bolt to bolt (bolt on fit) on mehran dash place and even the fitting is perfect and its curve and golai (roundness) are nearly perfect:

You have to install the inner rod of VXR as well so to perfectly fit VXR's dash as well as it's equipment (blower cooler, steering etc):

The only thing that requires alteration is the fitting piece for the inner Rod:

So my denter did this. I'll color it matched with my car's color.... it will inshallah look like an original piece of the car:

so after fitting the dash looks like this:

I installed seats and faced no issue in sitting as well as fitting in .... I'll buy a neat and clean dash for it once the endeavor gets completed ..... i think this is the best thing that i did in my on-going project ..... would love to hear what you guys say/advice .....

@capsat yes bro totally doable .... my denter was amazed when he initially fixed bolts on the upper dash which came fixed in the place of mehran bolts like it was meant for it ...... he was literally shocked and then became optimistic that it is 110% doable ..... result is in front of you bro

Wooowww....great. Fitting is perfect and it looks cool. it will change the way a mehran looks from inside. the sides are covered perfectly by putting customizing metal plates. you have posted detailed pics which will help others to do the same.

Benefits:
New Look
Steering column of alto with eps can be used easily
The wiring will be grip to grip
The ac components will be good and make mehran chilled
RPM will be there
there will be 4 ac vents and all the vents will be close to the passengers.

Questions:
Does the center rod beneath the dashboard supports the body frame or not? Or it is for support of components under dashboard?

Are the doors hitting the dash when closed?
What about window winder handles? do they clash with the dashboard or not?
How much space will be left between the steering and the seat while getting in or out?

To answer your questions bro:

The only place where the Rod is tethered and fixed with the Body is on the side pillars (two bolts) as seen in the 6th Pic.... I think that does supports the Body in addition to its purpose of supporting equipment (blower cooler, power steering, dashboard itself)

In the first pic you can see that the right side door is closed..... the width of the Dash in near perfect and door closes without any hindrance. However, my denter is of the opinion that a little bit of adjustments are required.

I think no issue for door winder handles would occur. I'll be using power windows so i didn't gave much thought to that. I'll thoroughly see it for your concern on my next visit and will then convey the feasibility and status of window winder handles to you bro

For testing purposes i installed Mehran driver side seat which is a little bit higher than VXR's seats..... i had no issue getting in and out ..... But i'll be fitting VXR seats and my denter says that it will give even more space for entry and exit as well as leg space ...

I'll be posting updates regularly and insha-allah the dash will be in perfect fitting as seen so far ..... the main thing i am happy about is that i will be able to use EPS steering, 4 vents powerful blower, awesome RPM meter, place for double 2 din android as well as the overall looks.... this dash is dirt cheap here in quetta for about 8k and abundance of its spare parts ... with the constant support and guidance of you guys i hope to make a great project mehran ....

Aur han, please dont use the alto vxr steering. use some black 3 spoke steering or a cool looking Nardi Trueno Wooden steering.
