Where does the needle rest after 15 - 20mins on EFI mehran?

Mine is around a quarter of the way up.

Your thermostat valve is removed, it should be till middle within 10 min

T stat is installed.
Just confused as everyone says needle should he in middle. Heater throws really warm air quite quickly after starting too.

Might be a case of failed open thermostat valve. What's the rpm when car is fully warmed up?

Rpm is normal if far as I can tell, although mehran doesn't have rpm meter

are you located in area where winters has already started in Pakistan?
are you using water in radiator? flush and use coolant to see better results and temp gain.

Yes winter is starting in Rawalpindi.

I'm using coolant already.

With the radiator cap open when coolant gets sucked down into the radiator does that mean the thermostat has opened up and was previously closed before?

Would the auto fan also turn on when thermostat opens up?
Or would it open regardless of thermostat being closed or open but turning on according to engine temperature?

The best way to check t-stat is to start the car, open the hood, and hold the to pipe of the radiator. after few mins there should be a spike the the temperature of the pipe as the t-stats open if it is happening then t stat is fine and may be you temperature send unit has gone bad.

I think you should remove the temperature sending unit and check its resistance according to manual using multi-meter.

If you don't have multi-meter then visit @dani_kk or @rajaatta they will check the coolant temperature and tell you the true story.

BTW, how are you and how is your car going apart from that?

Pipe gets very hot after about 5 minutes.
Auto fan turns on just below quarter mark.

I changed radiator cap from old worn out one to new of the same rating since then temperature needles stays around quarter mark. On old worn out cap it stayed around half.

Also my AC when turned on drops water into passenger side floor. Drain pipe is connected, so it's not that.

If yes then it could be leaking heater core, if connected.

Yes coolant does slowly deplete, need to top up about a month later.

Than it is for-sure the ac water, you need to check the place the water is leaking, maybe the as water pipe you mentioned above is leak.

Heater core is connected, but it is very low chances that it is leak, because the coolant is reducing slowly.

Do check from where the coolant is leaking too, it is very harmful specially when t-stat is connected and fan is auto as one slight airlock and head gasket cooked.

Mechanic removed AC drain pipe and refitted said it was fine.
Suzuki dealership also recommended heater core service for this reason, but I was confused as it only flooded floor with AC on although he still said it was heater core causing water on floor.

I have tried to find a coolant leak but had no luck for a very long time, it may be evaporation? Is a monthly coolant top up too much?

Yes it is too much.... coolant system is closed-loop system any single drop cant escape from it, no not even evaporation as water / coolant dont evaporate as there is no air to evaporate.

Are you using coolant with oat? If yes than observe all pipes, check for white stuff it is the leak....

If you still don't find the leak try to disconnect the heater core and connect both pipe together (bypass the heater) and check for coolant reduction and also for water on carpet, this will tell if heater is leak or not.

If heater core is not leak then I suggest to visit @dani_kk or @rajaatta they will check properly for leak and it will be one time solution.

I found some coolant leakage on floor. Took to dealership and they said radiator clip was loose.
