I need urgent help with my brother's car in Karachi. We're facing a "start failure" issue. Searching in internet I found out the problem can be Key or Immobilizer.
Our local mechanic suggested removing the ECU, key, sensor, and immobilizer and bringing them to him all these part of another car. I've already collected these parts from a junkyard in germany and have DHL Him.
Now, after sending the parts, the "start error" is gone, but the car still won't start. Maybe the used ECU we got doesn't fit our A160 W168 (BENZIN) and does not have our VIN number or engine number, or it has issues. Do we need to reset or personalize the ECU?
Does this model of car require online SCN coding? Our mechanic only has Star diagnostics, not DAS or Xentry.
I came across the Julie PRO emulator online. In my opinion this will be my second option to just disable the immobilizer and use emulator.
Any advice on what to do? Our main goal is to get the car started.
