Ive tried Adamjee diesel but they are not as honest and professional like DPS, Ive paid Rs 1800/- for pump calibration, Rs 200/- per nozzle for shimming/calibration for a 4cyl VW turbo diesel Golf. Parts were separate which in total had cost me Rs 4500/- including nozzles. (Denso NOS DN0-SD273 nozzles) This was done at DPS.
I used their services to revive a completely effed up MB inline pump from a OM617 turbo. same price for calibration (but the parts list was huge - as the delivery elements were previously opened with a chisel)
@deedee, the spill timing method is where you time the drops of diesel at a frequency of 1 drop per second with your hand pumping the purge valve, the element of DV1 removed - installed bare and then a cut injection line bent in a U shape. You turn the whole pump to "time" the drops. The bubble method is the same except you use air to mimic the diesel fuel timing, you would need a bottle filled with water the injection line in the bottle and you blow air into the pump and move the pump to just where the air stops to bubble in the water - At this point your engine's crank pulley should be at correct advance. (look it up according to your exact engine number) - btw for stupendous power pumps - contact Myna diesel in Finland - Those guys are wizards with diesel pumps, Myna rebuilt pumps are used by Finns in OM603,5, and 6 engines producing north of 400 hp.
