Exterior colour is black and interior is red. I love this combination which is suitable for Pakistan environment.
I booked this on 29th October @ 2 million and subsequent payment on 13th November to catch the Early Bird Offer. Tentative delivery time was 10th of January and car was delivered on 13th January. Only 3 days was delayed.

It’s a good car at this price but I want to know about its actual mileage figures on hybrid mode (when EV battery is depleted).

I have seen misleading figures like 57km/L average but it’s only applicable if you drive mostly on EV.

Some reviewers say mileage is terrible in hybrid mode.

So far only @mgkhan2000 has claimed 20+ mileage in city after EV depleted.

On MGEVS forums one person said:

The car is often marketed as 1.7l/100kms - which is true for the first 100km because you are running on battery for the first 63km .

After that I get around 7l/100km on petrol alone

7L/100km is like 14km/L after 60-70km range of EV.

Till now, I didn't use EV mode as I'm habitual to use my car in Normal mode. And the consumption is being shown as 4.1 L/100 KM in the cluster of my car which becomes 24 km/litre.

So that means the EV battery is also being used? Or battery is depleted, you didn’t recharge it, and on petrol only it is showing 4L/100km?

Curious about its hybrid capability.

For cases where EV battery is depleted and one is not able to recharge on time. Since EV range is quite short expect it to happen quite often in normal driving. Unless the vehicle is only taken from point A to B and then back, then parked till next day to do the same job.

I just got a MG HS 2021 94K odo CBU unit, in Pearl White, I swapped my daily driver with my brother, a few days ago and wanted to share some information that might be helpful to everyone here.

If anyone wants to turn AEB off on CBU units, just go to Engineering mode, page_7 and switch AEB to No.

And if anyone wants to reduce the jerks of the DCT transmission, you can change the way ECU/TCU handles shifting by changing AT to AMT on page_2 and then hit back button, and hit exit, it will reboot, saving these changes.

AMT (automated manual transmission) mode is less sporty but it's way better for city driving and I have observed a significant increase in fuel economy, I just finished one full tank with 13kpl average with 94K mileage on the odo.

This is generally how cars are mostly driven 90% of the times. Commuting to office/schools etc. Very occasionally people go on long routes so mileage on those trips wont matter that much.

People are claiming when in EV mode you cannot use the car’s heater. If you do car will switch to petrol engine.

Majority of the hybrids don't have a dedicated heat pump and rely on the engine to produce heat. HS PHEV is likely no different.

Yes. On EV mode in phev, car heater does not work as mostly heater of cars work only when the engine is on because engine heat is used to make the car cabin warm.

Hi mgkhan2000, i just got mine same color scheme as yours. I drained the battery the same day didn’t charge it after that but haven’t seen the same figures as you mentioned. Can you tell me what is the rev you’re getting when it’s in idle.

@shanklq was this 227km city driving with braking stop n go traffic OR highway driving?

On highway/motorway you will get the typical terrible average ..

But if you’re getting this 9.6 average within city, it’s what I suspected will happen once the EV range is exhausted. It means the regen hybrid isn’t working at its best probably? Like a Prius would or maybe a typical HEV like H6.

Mgkhans figures are a bit too good to be true in my opinion.. post-EV.

Regen is terrible on this vehicle and tbh as someone who have driven hybrid vehicles this seems like the worst one. Regen only goes to -9 top haven’t seen it go further down and i have to use brakes a lot and almost every hybrid vehicle allow you the concept of one paddle drive where you don’t need to use the breaks almost ever. As far your question goes yea this was in the city not on highway.
