What specific fuel type is used with this car? Normal fuel as sold by Total/Shell/PSO? Or do we have to use Hi-Octane (RON97)?

My uncle was looking to book his HS and was getting April delivery but the dealer said if he took blue or red he will get it in March so he went with blue and black interior

Total noob here on fuel types. Do we have ron92 or ron95 as regular fuel? I know that ron97 is premium (shell) or HOBC (Total)

Now pso fuel follow euro 5 standard. then MMT level should be low to meet criteria of low magnese in fuel. PSO hioctane is claimed to be euro 5. But not sure about regular petrol.

It’s better to just use hi octane if you can find it in your fuelling station just to be on the safe side while using a turbo engine car

Are you OK with using hi Octane? It's not or not easily available in smaller cities n northern areas.

If so HS might be OK option.

That Euro 5 is import and it's not avaibale country wide. Secondly dont confuse the emission standards with the octane number. HS need 95 octane and which means high octane and it's an import in Pakistan already . 92 octane no matter Euro 5 would not be a recommended fuel for the HS.

Local regular blend 92 is still with high level of MMT and local refineries are importing octane boosters and adding for local production. Euro 5 obviously is an import and have minimal or almost zero PPM of MMT.

This is the reason we had issues with the Civic Turbo. 91 Octane is the recommended fuel but the local blend is with high level of octane boosters.

Agree... if turbo charge vehical... hi octane is needed. Pso hioctane is euro5 standard. So. Suppose to have low mmt quantity. And not harm engine.

Pso euro5 is now available almost everywhere.

Wherever I've looked I'm able to find it.

In normal regular petrol I mean.

Unfortunately in Lahore it’s not available everywhere. All pumps have euro 5 branding but only pumps in DHA and gulberg have it.
I got fuel from daroghawala Lahore thinking it as euro 5 but it was plain garbage. The engine of my Toyota Aqua started to knock lol.

It's not avaibale everywhere sir. I can confirm that its not available at PSO in my town and also another pso pump 10 miles away.

ah right. i get hi octane for my C-hr at a PSO pump. so that won’t be a problem. for part? think i manage that as well. anything else i should worry about?

Nothing else to worry about go with HS you won’t regret it

Nope.

Just lack of service, support n dealerships is a major disadvantage imo.

It's like being on your own after buying an imported car that doesn't have any parts available in scrapyards (unlike Toyota n Honda imports that are full of parts in used markets).
