Turbos have higher torque at lower rpm range. That's what you feel, turbos are mostly replacing NA now, both have their pros and cons, longer life being a pro for NA.
Kia etc use conventional fluid base TC trany and results in very high powerless while the DCT is metal coupling that's y its better with economy and less power is lost, but the downside of DCT even today is it's short lifespan and the jitter when it has to downshift etc in traffic and city drive.
Proton and HS are both decent cars although yet to prove themselves reliable, Sportage/tuc are also decent.

Another person reached out to me from Lahore.. he got the BL like this as well.. there are two units of MG HS on this BL.

The BLACK STRIKE is done by MG people. He did the blue one to hide his engine and chassis # before he allowed me to share it publicly..

Sir firstly, this is a Goods Declaration, not BL (Bill of Lading). This is how the customs clearing agent for the importer files the clearance case. Customs have an electronic system where this is filled in and uploaded along with the other clearance documents like invoice etc.
BL will usually not have invoice value of the vehicle in an case, it is a document representing the shipment.
Secondly, almost all importers of equipment, machinery and even consumable B2B products usually provide this GD copy to the industries and business they sell to, for the purpose of claiming exemption on income tax deduction, since they have paid on import. And in my experience, almost all of them mark off or hide the invoice values in a similar manner to ensure that their cost of the product supplied isn't revealed. They do it as their business right to keep their margins confidential. I don't know whether it goes with business ethics or not but I don't see anything particularly wrong with it.
Now coming to the excise requirement for this document, that could be another story since this may be required by them for other purposes, so they may need the values and tax paid to be revealed. Of course they could also get the same from the custom's electronic database by the GD number and I don't see why they shouldn't have access to the system since they would get the correct info in a much easier and authentic way.
So all in all it shouldn't be a huge problem it is made up to be here. Of course for those who are affected and can't get their car registered because of this, I think they could also try to get the same from customs through a clearing agent if the company is not professionally handling this and helping them out here.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. BUT MG is not providing the required documentation. The individual took this document as this is what was provided by MG when BL was asked for. Excise made an issue of it. Regardless of every information is available electrically and online, this does not help the buyers of MG. Whether it's good declaration or BL, it should be provided to buyer.

A buyer bought a vehicle from MG, why now they should start running after the agents ? Should this not be provided by MG?.. THIS further shows the mismanagement.

Anyways, people are facing issue and I discussed it here as I was told. We are here to discuss everything related to MG, technical question, buying, registration and any other related topics.

I agree with you 100%. MG should provide all documentation necessary for the registration. It's the customer's right before anything else.
If excise has asked for BL, then they should provide the BL copy, not a striked off GD.

Around 480 CBU units of HS are cleared since September 2020. 152 currently on sale just on Pakwheels. All are above the MSRP. I am sure there might be more out there.. keep in mind that all 480 might not be sold and there will be some inventory with MG.

This shows that how much investors are involved and how MG sold multiple units to them and not to genuine customers.

I've seen a couple of third party dealers at Khalid Bin Waleed Road, Karachi who have different MGs available. Selling on a premium and invoicing at Customers Name at the official retail amount..
I dont think we can find an univoiced vehicle other than an authorized dealer for any of the other OEMs.

I think Customers are entitled to clean ,verifiable and honest declaration of all relevant papers/documentation.A proper file must be created for the new customer and for any who may buy it second hand.People should not be made to run around and be at mercy of excise.This may also give rise to bribing the excise an additional expense of minimum 100 thousand if the excise gets the real smell of it.

Appreciate your technical viewpoint and I agree people haven't had a good experience with DCTs especially one in Honda Vezel.I personally experienced that with Vezel in stop and go traffic in summer.However having read innumerable reviews on DCT it appears there has been so much research on them that now most of the high premium cars are installed with it.If Volvo and Volkswagen(including Porshe,Audi) have it ,it should be okay.
What would experts on market trends/technical specifications suggest at the point if one has to upgrade from a sedan to an sub-compact SUV(Crossover)with delivery times of 8/9 months.Such delivery times are pathetic.

They are paying full 123.77% duty, currently applicable on 1300 to 1500cc non Hybrid models.

Also 100 per varaint. I believe HS is being sold in multiple varaints. Maybe by changing the interior color, they might be declaring it a diffrent varaint.. God knows

Vezel DCT had multiple recalls and it was not a very well made / refined transmission and that's why Honda have discontinued using it on newer generation models.

Infact add Grace and Jazz Hybrid as well.
