The only thing I feel its loosing in is the looks, people are opting for other options maybe only because its getting older among the lot. "Sab ke pass yei hai"

Well I feel, it also lacks driving experience like atleast I feel it is too soft, less road feel and etc.

Yes Sportage is selling so much because of many reasons
It was the first one to enter the Market.
They opened 3s Dealerships across the country before opening.
They did not launch Sportage until it's production was in full swing locally.
They are producing more than 2000 cars every month.
They started selling Grand Carnival before launching Sportage which set a very good image of KIA.

Having said that none of these points prove that Sportage is the best car in performance and looks. In fact I believe that it ranks the lowest among all the options available in the market right now in this respect.
I rate the MG HS and Proton X70 much better in performance exterior and interior looks etc. Even Tucson is considered better than Sportage globally.

The reason at the moment we see mostly Sportage and not others on the road is because of the below reasons:

Hyundai is hardly producing 150-200 cars in a month.
Only 600 MG HS have been imported yet and local production is far away.
Only 200 Proton X70 have been imported yet and even those are not yet delivered. Local production seems far off.

Once Hyundai, MG and Proton overcome these issues I think we will be seeing a more balanced distribution on the roads.

Again a " Dukan " type showroom. I mean, not against MG but this is not how showrooms look like , 3S dealership. This place was a used car dealer with property dealer setup.. Now converted.

That's how briefcase investors mushroomed in 2000 era
Mitsubishi,hyundai,kia,Cherry etc and then winded up after few years,
in case of kia n hyundai this time they are here with big groups.
MG has all hallmarks of that era,be careful

used car dealership is around 50 meters ahead on the same road. This two shop MG showroom is on left of sialkots famous bakery Bakers inn and Libra jewelers.

In the latest weekly, Sunil Sb said MG under invoicing, if proven, will be a problem for the current owners. They will have to pay the balance duties and penalties or else the registration or transfers will be blocked. This is a bit absurd since the fault was with the importer in that case. But this is Pakistan, so what can I say.
Such a disappointment, I am driven away from the HS and will have to settle for Sportage or Tucson now even though I like the HS much more.

Sad. But what can you expect from this lot of tamba chors, there everywhere... and obviously if u buy from a dealer with dubious records without research then well, I feel a bit less pity for u...

Wait 2 years, see what happens to them all. And without malice, every single politician is corrupt, power blinds them.. if they can steal 10 rs per litre from poor people every month then those who spend half crore are inviting problems because it shows to looters they have money. It's like opening main gate of your house and saying look I have 5 mln to spend like water... come loot me.

Well between 2-3m you've got alsvin if looking for sedan. Then on March 30th (sourced from sazgar employee last week) you have Baic D20 launching as well.

In addition for crossover you have Baic X25 manual launching for around 23, and the auto variant with sunroof and cruise ctrl for around 27. All this info has been obtained from above mentioned source, so please take it with caution, management is still analysing the market this is just a first estimate... but 30 March is 99pc confirmed for launch.

If you are comfortable driving manual, and dont like sunroof then X25 manual crossover may possibly be the best to own in the sub 35 range. It is extremely durable and fuel efficient (on this you can do your own research - I joined a Sir Lankan group where this car has now been discontinued and heard lots of praises) and for downsides you might experience some squeaking in interior and for auto variant it's only got regular 4 gear transmission which might make engine whine on slight inclines, but work well on steep since you have the option of 2 and L gears.

Above that its BRV, then Glory, then you get into Kia, Hyundai, Proton etc. Not even gonna mention MG because no same person will consider it a choice

And dont worry about resale for now... you will get back more than you invested because of hyper inflation everyday, eg more expensive petrol = costly logistics = costly to run machines = costly to produce more cars = price hike of cars. Factor in rising dollar and yuan going up faster than a rocket. Factor in crazy delivery times and people selling for crazy own money.

Safe to say you will at the minimum get back what you invested..

Guys I’m extremely concerned
I’m a very cautious buyer
I’ve only owned Japanese cars since the last 20 years
This time I decided to try MG HS. The CBU build quality had me satisfied and in anticipation I booked the vehicle in early feb

Now with the way things are going I have no idea what to expect
Sometimes I feel that I made the right choice because I know deep inside I don’t find tuscon and sportage as appealing due to their interiors looking slightly dated

Other times I feel I’ve made a huge mistake by booking MG HS as I can’t tell where this is going to go

What do you guys think I should do?
Should I try to sell my booking before my delivery in July?
Or should I wait this out?

Have I made the wrong decision?

I thought about sorento but there’s just something about the interior and exterior shape and design which just doesn’t have my attention
Although it’s an amazing car
I just can’t make my self like the shape

And I’ve always wanted radar cruise control with other gizmos which other cars just lack
It’s 2021, I don’t want a car without a modern interior and without at least a few special features
I’m sick of owning bland cars
That’s why I took a bet with MG
