Any one who can tell what is written on confirmation booking letter about remaining payment. I did receive message about the letter on 22nd April, which mentioned either to pick it from dealership or have it posted, told them to post it. Been following them and they say its been dispatched, still not received till date.

Booking letter does not state date of remaining payment. Instead you will get a call or a whatsapp

Guys, any users here who can shed light on the word circulating regarding some HS gear issue.
Is it true or hoax?

Its not as much as an issue as it is the nature of DCT. all DCTs are not made equal, and most of the DCTs face issues with downshifts in city traffic. It shouldnt harm the gearbox but you can feel the cars hesitation in downshifting

Can MG Pakistan ask for an additional amount at delivery even if the booking confirmation letter clearly states that I only owe 30 something lakh more since 20 was payed at booking

Yes they can it's part of the terms and conditions but don't worry a price increasing isn't coming that 1.2 billion that they deposited is only a security which can be returned if they win the case. The case which is already quite shabby is still ongoing.

And who is going to bear the financial costs of interest income lost/ opportunity cost of that 1.2 billion while the courts reach a verdict?

Case is over sir . The money already with FBR. The new declare value of MG HS is already increased. There is no court case . The investigation was with custom audits. Court has nothing to do with it . Court only granted preliminary release of vehicles from port with a bank Guarantee..and that it. Court didnt ask customs to hold onto audit. Its Custom department jurisdiction and they evaluated diffrent methods for evaluation and finally went with increasing the value to $13xxx.

JW-SEZ didnt go to court against customs findings and there is no court case.

Secondly, any info regarding MG establishing a proper factory and improving dealership's condition in big cities.

Called Lahore Dealership few days back and they said its late maybe till July end.
They Will ask for remaining payment once vehicle will be on port.

I think MG (as a company overall) is the worst thing to happen to the Pakistani auto industry. As if we didn't already have enough shady practices, MG comes and further ruins the environment for the common man. Check out this new low..... even booking files are being sold at "ON" now. What a shame!

Goodluck to all those who have bought this car. It sure looks great but the local partner apparently is just here to make some quick bucks especially as long as Mr. Cricketer is in power.

Safest option to buy is Sportage.

What do you guys think is the issue with MG pakistan now?
They’ve started CKD production
They’ve started delivering vehicles
They have Proper 3S dealers in all major cities
What’s the reason for their failure now?

Also the video circulating about people fighting at MG lyalpur was due to some angry customers who were demanding their car before their turn

I’m not justifying the fight
I have no comment for both parties involved
But this does show the integrity of the system that no one is receiving their vehicle out of their turn

I’ve personally seen some individuals who had been visiting the dealership for quite sometime and had been urging them to deliver their vehicle
They all received delivery according to their slot

There was a video circulating in which a guy was at MG capital getting rough with the staff because he hadn’t received his car
The video got a lot of views
You guys can check MG capitals Instagram page, he just received his delivery last week
I only noticed because I recognised his face
