One individual was asking MG capitals owner for early delivery of his car through some family relation

The owner of MG capital sent screenshots in our WhatsApp group proving that he wanted his vehicle in April but he didn’t book it in time so his slot shifted to May
That person decided to sue the dealership

Despite all that he didn’t receive his vehicle

1. When and where did the CKD production start? MG itself still says it'll start "soon". Are there pictures? Have you seen it?
2. They've always been delivering vehicles. Probably at a ratio of 10:1 to private showrooms vs genuine customers.
3. So where is the proper 3s dealership located in Karachi? Do you have pictures or even an address? And which other major cities have 3s dealerships for MG?

Regarding delivery if investors also booked the vehicle I think they will receive their delivery
GOGA motors in isb booked 7 from MG khyber they just received them, MG Khyber didn’t have inventory of all the colors they booked so they opted to receive all in white and red so they can sell them sooner

There’s a proper dealership in Islamabad, Lahore (2), Faislabad, Sialkot

for a brand that just launched 6-7 months ago in Pakistan I have to say they’re doing very well

They’ve done well in cementing their place here in Pakistan
Definitely they’ve made a lot of mistakes too
Nothing is perfect and there’s still a lot to prove but it’s a good start

I think we've discussed at great length what the issues with mg are. No point repeating the same. Similarly, the hilarious picture of a so called assembly line was also critiqued so i won't go there. Lastly, most of the cities you've mentioned only have point of sales rather than 3s dealerships. Ppl from each city can comment better but they certainly do not have well equipped 3s dealerships in all these cities. There's only 1 or 2 in lhr and faisalabad if I remember correctly. The rest are paan k khokas that the company can wrap up in a day. They're not investing in infrastructure and there's a reason for it.

Islamabad, Lahore, Sialkot and Faislabad all have proper service centers from what I’ve heard

Also when when 2000+ CBUs will be delivered several cars will be going for servicing and they will have to upgrade their facilities
I’m 2000% sure Toyota and Corolla were just as weak when they started off
I’m sure some senior member can comment

It’s funny how first the critique was that there is no assembly now the critique is that the assembly is not good enough, I don’t know how members can conclude from an image that assembly is not up to standard, nothing against you personally sir just talking about the thread in general

Rest there are always two ways to look at things

We can focus on the negatives and bash this new entrant

They don't have local assembly. Period. The company itself doesn't claim that they have started local production. Nor do they confirm to you whether you will get a cbu or ckd when you book. Because they don't know themselves. Lol

Which assembly line? Are you referring to that picture that was shared in this group and referring to as a complete assembly line?

Which CKD production? Not a single MG has been "assembled" in Pakistan.

Which proper service centers are you talking about bro? Have you checked the isb one?

Times were different when Honda and Toyota started off. Times are different now. The consumer is not that naive. Be it MG, Proton, Changan, Kia or Hyundai....if any auto "assembler" fails to provide proper facility to its potential customers, we should and we will raise our voices. Thats the function of this forum. To raise awareness.

We have shredded indus, atlas and pak suzuki for years on one thing or the other. Why wouldnt we do the same to MG when from top to bottom everyone can see that something is extremely shady on how the company is operating.

We all wanted new entrants in Pakistan's auto industry but in a proper manner. MG Hs looks really nice on the road. It really does. But its so unfortunate that the company lost all its good will due to their actions.

Everything takes time, this baysabri qoum wants a new company to enter Pakistan and boom have 3s dealerships all over the country.
Gradual baby steps is the way right now.
And no one ia forcing anyone to buy it, you have a lot of issues don't buy it period.

thank you for sharing, I'm sure this thread will take out some issue in this robotic manufacturing process too.

Now people who have booked CBUs will be even luckier because not only will they enjoy improved build quality, they will also enjoy easier availability of parts due to local assembly

Criticism is welcome but it should be constructive
there is no other product in the Pakistani market like MG HS right now
this is my opinion.

This thread has done nothing but bash MG since its launched and all of it was speculation now CKD assembly is in front of you.

I posted a photo way back showing the CKD version and no one had anything constructive to say
