I am sure a CKD is coming and I already gave a detail about it after my an hour long conversation with a high official of MG few weeks ago and the pictures of the plant confirms it
BUT I have just a question for my own understanding which I also had when Changan revealed the Alsvin on their dealerships.
Why the windshield displays the cutout for the VIN PLATE ?
VIN PLATE normally is on the driver side dashbaord and in case of ALSVIN it was on left side even being the right hand drive and it later confirmed that those display units were CBU but had the VIN plates for the LHD market.
Same is the case on the CBU MG HS, and you will see it on all the CBU HS, it is on the left hand side although technically it should have been on the right side. Below it is visible on CBU MG HS.
NOW this CKD MG HS, still shows the VIN CUT out on the left hand side . Additionally it's for information that PKDM vehicles normally dont display the VIN under the windshield.
So, maybe this displayed, pictured MG HS as first CKD might be just a CBU / test units and not a commercial unit , which they disassembled and then reassembled. Anyways just something I noticed and sharing my opinion. PKDM /CKD MG HS for sale might not show a VIN under windshield.
Just to let you know that ,I was told by official from MG that initial 20 units are test units which are assembled and disassembled number of times for learning of the workers who will work later on assmbely line. This exercise is done before actual production and basically we can say a CBU is dismantled. In other words, the actual assembly line might not be fully operational at this time.
