Unfortunately very true. I've seen people on FB with a 2010 gli labelling the HS as "Chinese cr*p" i've even seen a guy with a kia classic of all cars call an HS a fail. I don't mean to condescend anyone as everyone has their own opinion but these posts are made in groups of owners club where such comments would be misleading

The point is that MG HS is the only crossover which has advantage over civic in terms of features. and when i call features its not wireless charging or rain sensor but other technology like adaptive cruise and auto braking which is the need of 2021.

i personally love tucosn and desperate to upgrade from 1.8 oriel but, the interior is bland, the cruise is same (we all know how imp adap cruise is on motorways these days due to congestion), no parking sensors, the extra 200c gets eaten up by extra weight and air drag, the wheel base is decreased, length is decreased.....there is no real kick in upgrade other then the moon roof.

i went to book tucson , but their booking was closed, and being honest, the best option now is to wait for MG HS CKD booking.

Definitely, i've been in and driven a few tucson's of my friends and the plaatic on the door is equal if not worse than a citt. I also found tucson to have very squishy brakes. As for wireless charging i got a baseus wireless charger for 2,300/- and placed it in my oriel and i get full wireless charging. Rain sensing wipers are only useful in higher level cars where they actually work.

Interesting observation. Also, it doesn't make sense that they have already produced one unit but won't be starting deliveries for a ckd until October. That tells us that the plant is still under development/ testing phase and formal production will take at least a few months to begin. This announcement probably comes to tick mark the 30th jun deadline of local plant set up.

That's a shallow comment to make. A person's own car or status shall not be a factor in determining how much he KNOWS abt cars. If the opinion is informed and logical, it doesn't matter what he or she drives. If your highness drives a 4m car does that make you ineligible to participate in alsvin vs yaris vs City debate? Not if you know enough abt cars and the segment. Yes I agree facebook is full of ppl rejecting other people's cars out of jealousy/ habit of trolling esp car ads with zero awareness of the market, but let's not judge based on what they drive

don't get emotional, his point is very clear about people judging on social handles and creating delusion, tell us a better instrument to judge a product apart of experiencing it. Sir no one is judging others because of their abilities tons of people have knowledge on cars but not resources. My point is not looking down on them at all in anyway and God forgive me if you thought tha. The point of the specific comments is that these people repeatedly spammed the groups with purposeful misinformation, even dissauded genuine buyers by spreading rumors as well. I do not look fown on anyone in any s nse but i do hate people that know the misinformation they are spreading is false yet repeatedly spam it in "owners" group not just a fan group. I am only looking down at mis representation of facts

I have not recieved anything stating mandatory insurance or registration. I believe this is dealer specific as my mamu recently booked a Grande X and they took full advance of registration while other dealerships did not have such a clause. Try another dealer

Mandatory registration sounds like a good idea as it would completely screw over ppl booking cars to make profits but I don't know about the insurance part.

Mandatory registration is an official policy. If I remember correctly this was introduced as a rule some time back and if you book through any company dealership (experienced with Toyota at least in karachi) without any contacts they will require you to pay for registration charges before delivery. This was started to curb the ON culture but sadly didn't make much difference. Every dealership however accepts bribe and if you give them a share of the on money or sell through them they'll let you bypass this.
Didn't know that insurance is also a requirement now but as per Pakistani law you can't drive a car without minimum third party insurance cover so no harm if this is made mandatory at delivery too.
