So guys i drove my cousins MG HS. Initially before driving I had a view that it would be just bells and whistles and the overall drive would be average as being a chinese brand. To my surprise the overall experience was quite good, the drivetrain was smooth and refined, cabin noise levels were up to the mark as engine, road and wind noise were quite low, suspension was great over bumps, DCT shifting was seamless just only on low speeds slight jerks could be witnessed but thats normal with DCT as Honda Vezel also did the same, power was good ( better than sportage) and turbo lag was minimal, interior is just stunning due to looks and features.
Few downsides I noticed
1. interior is not as spacious as sportage/tuscon.
2. buttons on center console and of electric seats felt cheap and flimsy
3. Sat/nav is cumbersome to operate (It was a bit slow and if anything goes wrong one loses all features specially AC controls)
Now reliability is a big question mark that only time will prove. Most importantly MG group should focus on 3S network and spare parts availability. If these things are taken care of MG will definitely capture market in Pakistan
