Misconceptions about HIDs & Projectors!

Installed Phillips X-treme Power H4 bulbs. The visibility is way better than H.I D's so threw the H.I.D's away. But I have one problem, the low beam adjustment/setting is pretty good but when i turn the high beam's on, light's thrown very very high. What can one do about it?

sardarsaeed: That is great.Please post some output shots for the benefit of our members.

Regarding the high beam, since its a dual filament bulb, adjusting it will affect both the low beam and high beam, so I would suggest to adjust it to the point which is the best compromise between high beam and low beam.

If you use low beam almost all the time, then let the bulb remain as is.

I would strongly vouch against installing HID's in your car as you will loose the current visibility.You can buy better bulbs such as the Phillips X-Tremes.I think your Pejaro uses H4 bulbs, if it does then Phillips X-Treme are the best bulbs to get.

Does you car use H4 bulbs?

If it does then get the Phillips Rally Bulbs.

Also ensure that your headlights are clean(mainly the transparent plastic lens and the chrome reflector).

First of all an excellent thread momin, very very informative for the masses

i would like to differentiate here the main difference between the halogen bulb and the HID KIT
In halogen lamps the light is generated by continuous flow of electricity while HID kit is produces light by the bursts of Electricity from the ballast
For a lay man halogen lamp is just like a normal bulb in our houses and HID is just like the flash in a camera (with light generally flashing 60 times or more in one second)

momin i would like to ask if you can add a post to this thread with pictures of connectors of different type of bulbs and their technical names. So one ca easily match the picture with their cars connector and know what bulb they need

Although everything stated here is true....one factor was left out. Most of the aftermarket projector lights people get here are cheap Chinese or Taiwanese ones and they were designed merely to look good...not for optimum lighting. As far as i have noticed these aftermarket projector lights ...with or without HIDs suck. with normal or halogen bulbs there is too little light and with HIDs.... well you pretty much **** off anyone infront of you.

Thanks for your input.I didn't include it in the title post but in the replies I did mention this.

The biggest problem with those projectors is no two are the same in terms of quality of output and the quality of their construction.I think that is enough reason to stay away from them.h

That is really good, please get rid of those hid fogs, as you can see they offer zero visibility.

I have civic 09. I m going to install Hallogen projector lights at front. I know they are not supposed to be used with HID's, but by looking at the result (shown in pictures in ur 1st post), using HID's in hallogen projectors does look like a VERY bad idea. offcourse the HID i will use will be 4300K ones.
Do you think result of installing 4300K HID in these projector lamps will be bad? Would it be better than stoc or worse?

Following the pictures of the possible projector lamps i m going to use.
