Mitsubishi Galant v6, problem. Help required

I am facing this problem in my gallant 2.5 vr, fan worked changed speed from low to high relay, fan module all checked but fan worked normally at both speed I mean not that fast like the local cars fans, faced some heating issues only during stops at traffic as soon as I move the needle would get normal, but when I direct them by just pulling the ECU wire out they run at full speed and no heating issue at all even if you are with AC on for 2 hours at full stop. So the issue is more air needed by engine. I spent many hours and hard earned money to increase the speed in auto mode but all in vein I can't be changed because that's how they designed the system, best option use direct in summer and auto in winter, no harms to engine in direct mode just the car will take 2 more minutes to reach optimal temperature.

Can anybody please help me get the fans at high speed on automatic.

i dont think its a fan issue
as you say they are supposed to work like that by default
did you try servicing the radiator and analyzing how good or bad it really is

Done everything, thermo, tp senor, earth wires, nothing worked. Only fan direct mode works. Also someone suggested the ECU is designed for cold weather countries it needs to remap but that's dangerous.

isnt this more then a decade old car with several years and summers driven in PK ?
how many km's is the car driven, is it in stock parts ?

I agree.
Problem is somewhere else. Did you faced problem only in this summer ?
That's not right. There's intake temperature sensor which tells ecu about the temperature and it adjust mixture accordingly.

u need to find the data of fan speeds in rpm .. might be tough but have to compare it with present rpm of fan .. rpm meters r available in workshops (meter repair guy will be the exact person) .. fan is an electrical device so must be doing its job .. or u can compare it with a car of similar model ..anyway likely areas of problem

. fan speed reduced due to weak motor winding or worn out carbon brushes
. fan cooling capacity reduced due to edges worn out (common issue in old fans)
. fan bearing (if it has one) friction increased
. low current due to resistance in current path
. ecu cannot give wrong output unless it has software issue
. lastly cooling system issue (already explained by hash4u above)

ur fan has the capacity to run at higher speed in direct mode .. u can change the circuit attached to it .. there must be pcb .. ecu must be giving two inputs .. in terms of voltages .. the circuit give path to each current and overall controls the speed of fan .. the best modification would be to instal a potentiometer .. variable resistance .. adjust fan speed on ur own

I have checked everything related to cooling system. I mean everything the radiator was serviced 2 times new thermostat, all sensors, water pump check gas kit check. Nothing found the problem is only the fan speeds. I bought this car this year I mean used engine is very fine I mean new. There is no missing, engine roars like new.

If there is any problem why is it not showing while it is moving and getting air from the girlls. It still should get hot while in motion. The fan speed is really low in both settings I have compared it to other cars.

There is a fan module right on top of the radiator I even changed it 4 times to check if there is problem there still no luck. The ECU send signal to the module who send power to the fan motors. If there is problem in the motors why is it runnig just fine while direct.

previous owners and other people who have used this paticular model have faced the same problem in there cars. Some say it's common problem the ECU is designed for cold weather countries so it send less current to the fans the only way is to change that is to remap the fan settings and that could be dangerous, secondly install a good quality pusher fan on the front and swtich it on whenever needed, thirdly direct.

there is a capacitor 5.1 micro_farad size of a 9 v dc battery which kicks the fan speed when thermo-sensor kick-in,

just like any AC electrical fan when capacitor is kaput it runs at single constant speed it is the same phenomena -

locate the incircuit unit and replace it - picture shared is for reference only

you need not to be under influence of any drugs when responding technically .. like other MODS who solve rattling & squeal by greasing the BELT ..

seems all moderators smoke same grade of truck driver class nasha, - resign from being MOD if you believe being HIGH is attutide of MODs.

It is simple case of KAPUT Capacitor - for FAN over condenser unit, a very common problem in pre 2010 cars using dual cooling fans

i have no idea how a variable fan of a gallant works or the module .. based on my knowledge of electrical engineering degree i tried to give a simple logic .. because mostly in electrical circuits current is controlled by resistance .. the fan is running in two speeds .. read the post again .. i know what a capacitor does in a fan .. ur comments were extremely rude .. if u get knowledge of something by any means it doesnt give u any right to insult others .. if ur language was a joke .. i already pointed out that i dont take insult as a joke even .. going on public with such rude behavior is not acceptable

I checked the module there is no capacitor only clip with 2 wires. I am attaching pics for your consideration.
