Mitsubishi Galant v6, problem. Help required

The fan amerage is fine and motor and fan blades are perfect. Can you please explain 5 speed setting on module is it same on newer versions. Maybe Bilal Ganj one will work fine if I know how to check it's speed veriation.

Also lancer one will it work on this car. Any matching issues. Corolla ones will work on it or not as that's available easily. This same module new is not available here and even internationaly so only second hand is available allover. I even spend few hours on Google with the part number but no luck.

Also you said about module getting killed. Will it work if it's killed beacuse of any reason u explained. Many electrician said if the module is faulty or dead it won't work at all ? But mine works but not providing all speed setting as per your recommendation.

The 5 spd settings are built in. The fan motors reiceve a pwm signal in 5 different programmed steps. Making the 5 speeds.

How much amps were being pulled by each fan when running directly?

You will need a mitsubishi scan tool to check the fan speed command.

Don't know about the apms but the guy who tested it said it's perfect including motor blades and no vibration.

You didn't answer about killed modules if they will work or not. Also will the Lancer or corolla module will work on this car.

of course dead modules wont work and no the corolla one wont work - you need the mitsi one with these connectors.

You need to verify the amps pull of the fans before you attempt this repair.

You mean lancer one will work, it does have same connectors. Lancer module is available but gallant module is not available anywhere. Also my current module is working but not running fans fast so should I call it faulty. One Electrition told me module can never be faulty it work or not work at all.

I will double check the fan amps please tell me how much apms are correct and if it's not what should be done motors change or what.

I gave you my personal experience here. If you are good at diagnosis you can repair this fault, By reading these posts it seems you are trying very hard for a very low cost solution.

Rest is your choice to have your electrician test and diagnose this for you.

No I am not trying low cost solution. This module you pointed is not available anywhere except these scrap yards. Even internationaly it's not available maybe newer versions but this particular one which is company default is not available.

I have already spent like 15k on different electricians and cooling system diagnosis but all in vein. That's the only reason I am bit more concerned.

I have 2 questions only before applying your remedy. Which I think is the best option.

1. This module can it be faulty? As you always pointed flooding, extra amperes will kill it. Every electrician I met said the module cannot be faulty it would work or not work at all. In my case I believe it is faulty.

2. If this module is not available new. Can I install lancer one which has same connectors. That is available from market. And again not cheap around 18k not returnable. If it would have matching issues what part number should I look for.

I will definitely check these motors before installing new. I just asked that if the more amperes pull will kill the modules why is not killing the current one. Rest assured i asked the Electrition again and he is still saying the motor and fans are fine. Its the module.

if you have access to a ac fridge shop go there and request the person help you with clamp meter and check for amperes when fan is running..

the lancer Module check the part number note down or snap picture, cross check with the scrap yard ones use google for comparison

Fan ampears are fine. Lancer module clips are matched. Only installation screw are different. Anyway I am waiting for Zulfiqar SB decision regarding lancer module. Rest assured its own module is not available anywhere brandnew only Bilal Ganj.

I don't know who to use the amps meter. The Electrition checks it and says it ok.

kick that electrician to the side, find another one who owns a clamp meter - clamp the wires going to the motors.
disconnect the speed control wire from the module and switch on the key - the fans will run full power - read the amps, should be less than 11 amps. Your guy is someone who thinks that as long as the fans are spinning they are ok, just like the idiot mechanics who think a a spinning engine is ok.

your electrician is a moron if he's saying the module works or it doesnt, what you are seeing is also a mode of failure (fans not speeding up, fans running after shutdown).

dont let the wrong people work on your car, it will become a basket case.

Ok tomorrow I will let you know the exact ampes. Also when the speed control wire I mean center wire from the main connector is disconnected to direct only then fan spins fast and spins for 3-5 seconds after shutting engine off. When the speed control wire is connected they switch off immediately after switching engine off.

When module speed wire connected the module spins fans but very slow in low speed mode and normal in high speed. When direct they run full speed and only then they spin for few seconds when shutting ignition.

Skimmed through the above detailed discussion. Strange! that this can be this tricky to solve. I own a same car with Twin turbos, similar engines except TT.

My car is running on auto and even in 45'c Summers it never past half mark though it produced hell of a heat around bay area. Which engine oil grade you are using?

mitsu still dont sell the fan control ecu for galant, they sell the entire fan assembly for about 300 USD.

it can - the mounting points are just different. the lancer mivec module works perfectly in galants - Ive tried it.

This is the lancer module and its connectors look same as the current one. Just the radiator fan clip is different which I believe wiring can be done.

Just the bolt placement is different which I don't think is a big issue.

Is this the mivce module.
