Mitsubishi Heavy Industries or Mitsubishi Mr. Slim?

just installed this heavy duty 1.5T split ac. Pulled the vacuum in line set as well. Air throw is good, but i am little bit skeptical about its cooling. Cooling is not bad but i was expecting a little more chilling air. Any one has an idea how to go about this issue?

I'm still using 2 splits of HEAVY DUTY which I told u in my post and still you won't believe that it is working like a paradise in full peak noon without any hassle and We've bought third one too same 1.5ton heavy duty. There's no problem came yet in previous like gas leakage, or outdoor unit indoor bla bla bla perfectly working within 5-10 mins my room is chilled or tv hall is chilled really I believe that I've spent alot but I'm in ease no repair man no refilling nothing only serviced before winter and then opened in summer.

from where did u buy MITSUBISHI SPLIT heavy duty in karachi ? and price pls

BTW. I need to install the AC in the basement. The room size is 16 feet x 18 feet. Would a 1 ton unit be overkill for this size, since the basement is usually cool and the maximum temperature in hot summers is 32 degrees. There is no direct heat source. The main problem is humidity. It goes beyond 80% during rainy season.

Do you think a I can manage with a 0.75 ton unit? I want to keep power consumption low.

Here is a formula for calculating size of AC for a room:

1. For Ground Floor & basement L x B X 90 then divide the sum by 12000.
2. For First Floor L x B x 100 then divide the sum by 12000.
3. For first floor with big windows L x B x 110 then divide the sum by 12000.

Brother here is the calculation for ur basement:

16 X 18 x 90= 25920 / 12000 = 2.16 Ton.

i have bought mitsubishi mr slim 18vc but when i have installed its out door have no gas please tell me how i claim its warranty is it will be replaced with new one or it get repaired............?

If the ac has been installed by the mitsubishi recomended people then no need to worry they will refill the gas without any extra charges.

Hey all, didnt want to make a new thread. So long story short we are moving house next week. We have a mitsubishi heavy duty one, 1.5T jetflow.

So my dad considering to just sell it to the people moving in, and we buy another one later (same model or slim one). However not sure whether it is a good idea to sell or should we keep? Ac works great, its about 2.5 years old and has not been used much as its in the guest(drawing) room.

I have read old heavy duty ones were imported while current ones are not?

edit: main reason for wanting to sell, cause moving it may cause whatever damage etc etc. And the place we are going it just a temp one while our permanent one gets ready.

Help Needed: I have Mitsubishi Mr. Slim 1.5 ton AC lying idle for the last 4 years. Hardly one season used back then. Now it might need gas refilling. Honeywell (Genetron) is available for Rs. 1000/- per kg others chinese gas available for Rs. 600-700 per kg. According to One trader at Naz Cinama market, Honeywell was discontinued 15 years back...Those who are selling Honeywell are fake one gas infact...I am really confused what to do....Samajh nahe aa raha konsi aur kahan say gas dalwaon...m based in Rwp. Also need some expert to fit this unit...

I purchased a used one ton Mr. Slim 2009 model at the start of this summer. I got it serviced and refilled. I am facing the same problem. During day time it runs for only ten minutes and then goes to thermal shutdown. With respect to ambient temperature it could be restarted after 1 to 2 hours and again goes to thermal shutdown after 10 to 15 minutes. But at night it runs whole the night through. Even after running 10 hours continuously it does not take the room temperature further down from 30 C. Mr. Rustum I want to know if you went any further to diagnose the problem. Thanks.

Thermal shutdown? Is the outdoor unit place where it can release the hot exhaust effectively? Is the gas charged properly? One ton or 1.5ton?
