MUT-III costs $700-900 and fake versions are also being sold so buying it neither easy nor feasible. Also, I agree that manual recalibration is sometimes possible but an MUT-III can do precise calibrations with exact values whereas the same is not possible when done manually.

so a US$700 diagnostic unit will give optimum fuel average (or may be not) .. thats 70k PKR .. equivalent to 1000 litres of petrol approximately .. can u please please google .. search pw for basic reasons of low fuel economy .. i can tell u on fingertips but i want u search and learn .. can give u a few tips

fuel consumption requires
- proper air fuel mixture ratio .. any one is less will cause low pickup or unburnt fuel etc .. lets break down each ..
-- low air pressure.. chocked filter
-- excessive air .. leakage in seals
-- low fuel pressure ... fuel filter, fuel pump, injectors,
-- unburnt fuel .. coils, plugs,
-- other related items ... CAT, engine condition, timings, valves, sensors
there could be more reasons .. so far i remember these .. now where will this MUT II or III help and where it wont

As for the pieces of gearbox breaking what happens is that if the previous owner has changed oil very late or never or used cheap oil then some small pieces of metal shave off due to increased friction and become part of the oil. Since your gearbox parts have worn off, sometimes the metal shavings in the oil are the reason the components are able to work properly. When the oil is changed the metal shavings are no longer there to provide grip to the clutches inside the torque converter. This leads to the gearbox complications that you’ve described above. You may have been facing both issues simultaneously; gearbox not calibrated and gearbox clutches slipping because of oil change.

You don't need any tool for this problem. If you are in Islamabad than go ask any workshop if they have compression testing tool, if yes than have ur engine compression tested and post results here. Also is your cars engine consuming oil? It is possible the missing you are relating to is caused by faulty valves in the engine head. It can only be established only if you have your car compression tested.

Next is IACV, your throttle body if i am not wrong is Electronic? If yes! Than NO, it doesn't need IACV cleaning.
If you have manual throttle body that is... In manual case the throttle body has TWO black sensors attached to it. One with coolant lines is the IACV. The only purpose of IACV is to increase or decrease RPM and is not related to missing of the engine.

First post your idle rpm. Is your RPM needle jerking? Does your rpm increase in morning first start and slowly go back to 700-800rpm when it reaches optimum temperature which can be seen on the odometer temperature guage needle at nearly HALF.

That only happens when your gearbox is dead or nearly dead. CVT is NOT ROBUST at all.

at first start in morning there is blue smoke for around half a minute but after that there is no blue smoke whole day.
i do check oil level and there is no change in it.
and about IACV a mechanic said IACV purpose is to maintain rpm in Idle state only so iacv has no relation with jerks/missing in drive mode.
idle rpm fluctuates from 700 to 900 at slow pace
same rpm behavior in the morning and after temprature at half

Your car needs a head job! I mean blue smoke in morning means valves are loosing oil onto combustion chamber which is BAD.
This IS the reason of MISSING. Please have it rectified at good mechanic in Islamabad/Rawalpindi and your problem will be solved.

this MiSSING is not continuous i mean not every time.. it runs smooth and suddenly started missing and after some time its gone...
car also had a detailed check up by Lodhi Autos. as per him there is no engine work needed.

well this intermittent missing means that your engine valves are loosing oil into combustion chamber. The blue smoke in morning means your car needs valve job/head job. Go to Lodhi Autos again and tell them about morning blue smoke and ask them to compression test the engine to find out exactly which cylinder valves are loosing compression.

Dont go for a head job before you do the compression test. I own a Mitsubishi Lancer and have tried numerous experiments that lead to better or worse fuel consumption.
1. Forget about the dealership. They cant even adjust the tappets all they know is "ustaad je 8 number te kas deyo".
2. Besides air filter fuel filters and coils. A bad MAP sensor or O2 sensor or a BISS screw not properly adjusted can also cause poor fuel consumption. Very few people know how to adjust the BISS screw for BISS screw adjustment you need a scanning tool and hold the ECU in SAS mode before you can do it. I can help you with that, not a big deal.
3. As far as missing is concerned if your valves are leaking to the point that the car has started miss firing then it will also take alot of cranking in the morning before the the engine fires up. The car will have very bad accelaration and pick-up. It will barely cross 100kmh. If it smokes for a few seconds after start up then the valve seals are leaking but they are not related with random misfires.
4. 90% of the mechanics dont know that Lancer(1.6 only) has a o2 sensor. Usually mechanics cut the o2 wires in order to install CNG kit, surprisingly if the o2's signal wires are cut Lancer doesnt give a check engine light or code. The connector is on the left side of the left foot rest. You will have to look for it beneath the carpet. To check the proper functioning of the o2 you again need a scanner and check the o2 graph. It should fluctuate between 100-900mv's at normal operating temperature.
5. It can also be a stuck fuel pressure solenoid valve which is causing poor fuel consumption.
6. Bad coils can also lead to misfires but once the coils go bad the car will misfire at certain RPM all the time.

Also check on full throttle does your car emits black smoke.

Also get the engine and body earths cleaned. There is a earth wire on the right side(facing the engine) of the tappet cover do get it cleaned! My car used to misfire on jerks and it turned out to be a loose engine earth.

hammi one point is very important MAP sensor wiring or sensor itself. check it first as loose wire of map sensor also give severe jerks and loss of power specially on U-turns.

I agree with you and usually mechanics ruin the connectors as the safai includes "WD40 and bhens walay teekay se moota soowa" they almost break the points.
Start the car and fiddle with the MAP sensor connector check if the car stalls or drops rpms etc.
