Well to scan mitsu's properly you do need the tool taimur is talking about. Universal scanners usually arent that good when scanning a mitsu as far as I have tried, but yes if you dont want to tune the car to 100% factory specs then you probably dont need one. I have not seen any universal scanner that can show the value of AFR on lancer or maybe I was missing something. I tried connecting EVOSCAN and it showed me the value of AFR but sadly it wasnt working with engine running it only showed values with igntion switch on. But, if you are a true mitsu fan and you are gonna keep mitsu all your life then MUT-3 is useful specially when tuning a evo I suppose. I have seen car enthusiasts buying 1500$-2000$ scanners to calibrate CVT's.

Very rightly said. But you will need the Frame No of your car. Our Lancers are the CS3A's one. Make sure you select the right one in the car selection catalog of the scanner. And then in special features you will find SAS mode. There is a guy Shahzad in I-10 I have told him how to adjust BISS screw in SAS mode he has a very good scanner. You can visit him sometime he is closed on sundays only. Street#1 Shanawaz wali follow the street and you will see a car market ask anyone about Shahzad electrician just give him my reference white Karachi Regd Lancer.

Missing has no relation with the blue smoke in the morning. Blue smoke is because of bad valve seals when the car sits overnight the oil leaks past the seals in the combustion chamber and when you start the car in the morning that oil gets burned which makes the blue smoke till all of it burns. If you car was missing due to weak engine the reason would have been severely damaged/worn piston rings. Your car wouldve been smoking like anything everytime and would also consume 1 litres of oil in 300-400kms I think. In that case the oil gets passed the piston rings in the combustion chamber and the plugs gets covered by oil they loose spark and the car misfires but I'm pretty certain that is not the case in your scenario or any mechanic would have pointed it out that the rings are gone.

Bro i have lancer 2006 CVT it has a strange issue, sometime it start missing pick during drive and start jerking, and then after sometime it will be fine like nothing happen to the car I didn't contact any mechanic till now, so please suggest someone to contact and get this issue fixed. ATF is completely filled in gear box and engine has no issue, car only start giving this problem when ever it drive on rough road or pits on road, only give this issue on D and Ds mode rest modes are perfect!

How do you check the oil level? Lancer’s oil checking method is a bit lengthy:

1. Start the car and drive around till the engine and gear oil is sufficiently warmed up.

2. Park car on a level surface with the engine running.

3. Move the gear shifter from P to L stopping for a few seconds in every position from P to L. Once done move the shifter to P and leave it there.

4. Now check the dipstick. Oil level should be between the cold and hot markings.

I am quoting this from the owner’s manual and this is the only way to check its oil level. Make sure you check your oil level this way and top it up if needed. Also check your oil quality.

I asked for a reason to my Mitsubishi Lancer 2006 1.6 A\T missing and losing power during drive. So here i ll share the exact problem and its solution. I asked people about a good mechanic for this issue. One of my relative told me about a workshop in Township and owner name is Ustad Nazeer. He is a man with 40+ years experience of car engine repair. In 5 minute he caught the issue, it was actually a wiring glitch due to which one of the injector starts malfunctioning. He just changed some wiring connection and issue is resolved. Most of mechanic were saying it was a Transmission issue. so all Heil to Ustad Nazir.
Surely he is the best mechanic in town and a champ of EFI vehicles.
