Good work mate. Scrap the metal completely do not leave any polygate. Ask ur dentar not to use flame to remove the polygate becuase it will decrease the metal strenght.....if u can afford ask him to use paint remover.
do rust treatment before applying coat.

I have brought him a paint remover. Heat will damage the metal. the paint will be scraped off. the work is being done in portions first was the driver side's turn. will update today's progress in the evening.

thnx and yes do take care of the inner sides of front windscreen and back screen rubber linings becuase due to dust these rubbers catch dust and water seeps in and later it gets rusted. the water that escapes from the rubber gets accumulated beneath dashboard and inside the diggi causing rust,

do inspect with dashboard off.

The dash board had melted so took it off months ago. Thank god the windscreen linings are fine. there is just usual rust that happens with the passage of time not something horrible. but i will check it thoroughly again. thank you for the idea.

So today I visited the denter's to check the pace and the progress.

I don't know why the denter has applied astar on it but I guess this is not the stage to apply this. Although the anticorrosion paint I gave him has been applied underneath the car...

@nnabeel @dayrider kindly guide in this matter...

The right rear door was out of allgnment and that has been fixed...

Thankfully the foot board has been changed correctly and the windscreen sides are also in good shape... The pace is real slow...

that is bad rust, did you remove it first and are you planning to apply cavity wax in that area - its applied from factory.

@Xulfiqar. plz tell me what is the best option coz i intend to keep the car forever. i know it is quite bad and needs to be done properly..

If cavity wax is a better option which i guess is a 3M product where can i find it in karachi.

The denter removed the rust first. if a piece was rotten new metal was welded over there and then the whole piece was painted with anti corrosive. i am talking about the body referenced in the image.

i am not an expert but the dentar should remove all the rust, apply antii rust. cavity vax to be used like inner spaces as u have posted the pic of foot board rusted from inside.

Chalen i will try to take a cleaner picture. he has kind of applied this anti rust to only those areas which have new metal sheets or where bare metal was exposed.

Cavity wax will be used then. Any place where i can find this cavity wax.

you will have to make the wax yourself as its not sold in Pakistan. (dont know why though) - its very easy to make, you need some parrafin or beeswax, some oil, some turpentine and a sprayer with very long wands.

Before embarking on applying the wax, you will need to fully remove all the dirt and rust.

I have taken the recipe sir.. will make sure of cleaning the whole thing throughly. Plz keep on checking this thread and guiding me... I went to the denter this evening again... He has started to work on the other side which is in quite better condition in terms of both dent and rust. He removing the paint. Also there is less poly ate I noticed on the left side of the car... Hardly any on the front left fenders and the doors.

Also the wax u were talking about is available online for 2550rs.

One more thing I need to ask @Xulfiqar and @nnabeel do I need to take off all the paint even or where it is necessary...?

make sure the Rs 2550 thing you see is cavity wax and not rubber coat, the rubber coat is a completely different application.

body cavity wax is literally called cavity wax and the 3M and hammerite product sprays out a yellow or orange colour, the homemade one sprays out a browinsh shade but works super.

Your panel beater is not doing a good job, there is too much filler on the body of the car - apply paint remover and go down to baremetal and then refinish it up.

who is the denter painter? sandblasting is so rare, how wonder how many others exist that do sandblasting in karachi?

He has sandblasted some area which required it. Else you can see the denter is lazy enough he is not using the paint remover that i brought him. i insisted him to do the sand blasting thing under the foodboard to removed the rust and got metal welded where it was necessary and the applied an anti corrosive.

I am going to take a half day from office today and visit the place with a pair of gloves and apply the paint remover my self.

The guy is quite old, experienced yet very stubborn. very difficult to get him do what you want.

Today, I took a half day from work, went to the denter's picked up the canester of the paint remover and applied the first coat with a brush myself. I did this ke shayad us bunde ko koi ghairay ajaye... And yes some sense developed and he did the rest him self... Multiple coats are required as the paint is too thick.. pic when I applied firast coat on the first panel

Also the work has started on the passenger side as well. A piece of metal was changed on the rear door. Sir foot board was taken off ... Same procedure of removing the rust then applying an anti corrosive will again be used here.. there is rust but the front fender and door is in nice shape never repaired the man says...
