Mobilink fraud

I am using Mobilink Jazz SIM since 2005. It was registered on my name.
I never switched it off as it was my main number.
A few times a person called me and asked me to sell my number to him but I declined because all my relatives, friends, co-workers, ex-class mates have this number.

Last night I saw that there were no signals on my cellphone. I thought that it is some network issue. Today when I woke up, there were still no signals. When I called my number from another phone, I heard a Punjabi caller tune. The same person picked up the call who used to ask me to sell my number to him. He said that it is now my number as I have the same number in other networks that is why I have bought it.

I called mobilink helpline (111) and they said that the SIM is registered to that person. I said I am using this number for 6 years, what kind of joke is it? He said that in my system I can not see that the SIM is re-issued. So you don't have any proof of it. I said that I have the dead SIM with me. He said that it is not enough.

Guys now please help me out. I want my SIM back. What should I do.
Mobilink has franchises in every city, every town and franchise has the authority to re-issue the SIM if the older one gets faulty or snatched. They have taken money from that person and issued my SIM to him.

Seek PTA's help. Once Telenor did the same to me. Got my number back. If you can, file a case against Mobilink or the franchise that have issued the number to him. You'll need some good PR to pursue this case. Try to get the call records of this number. That should be the numbers of people related to you. Even then I can't assure anything.

Yes, same thing did wid me by telenor.. but i brought my old SIM , SIM Jacket and i got my Number Back... Just go to HeadOffice our ur city.... Bring every Prooof which u have...INSHALLAH YES ho jaye ga na hoa tu sub ka YES kar k aana wahan ....

Complaining to PTA should be the right option

with cc.: to

and write a proper email and try to scan and attach proper proofs you have... also include copy of your CNIC with your email that necessary !!!!

i have experienced the above myself dealing with Ufone and Warid at the same time and my problem was solved within 24 hours!

How can I know which franchise has issued my number to him.
Similarly Mobilink people won't give me call records as they say that the number is not yours.
Don't have any relative in mobilink.

Thats the problem. I don't have SIM jacket with me now. Who carries SIM jacket of a 6 year old SIM.

First I will go to Mobilink head office Blue Area Islamabad. If they don't listen to me then I would complaint to PTA.
What are the things which can be presented as proof.
I have the SIM with me. Isn't this proof enough? Each SIM is internationally identified by its integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID). And I think that number must be in their records.
So yesterday, when my SIM was re-issued to that person, the SIM identification number must have been changed. Isn't it?

was it even registered in your name??. if yes, then how could they do such a thing. if it was not on your name then its another story and you cant pursue your case in that case.
they only have the authority to issue the number to the other person if its not in use!

The SIM was in my daily use. It has 70,80 Rs credit last night.

1- Did your ever check whether it's registered in your name or not?
2- If it was registered to your name, you should complain to PTA straight away along with that get to the Mobilink. If mobilink people solve your problem then its fine. Else PTA has been helping out people ( i'm one of them ) I'm sure your problem will be solved too.
3- Even if not registered to your name, do send all this detail you mentioned in topic to the PTA.

1. go to mobilink head office ask them to clear the things up if they dont start shouting like hell to show ur anger against (make shore that there customer see u)them few mins later manager will arive and take u in his office .next thing you know they serve u tea to calm u down and ur problem is solved
   manager will be able to solve the problem no one else
   tested 100%

@OP - it is not possible if U are sure that number was registered against your name.

Every activity performing against any MSISDN is getting logged in system against user ID of employees and franchises.

Incase - someone changed your ownership and then re-issued the SIM to someone else then it will be recorded in system.

Just visit service center and log complaint and also re-issue the SIM by providing original CNIC as you are the previous owner and it will be there in record.

If done by any franchisee - they have to pay heavy penalty.
If done by employee - he can be fired.

However, service center agent will not be able to provide the detail of user who performed the activity.

No PR or source required in this case?

It is crystal clear case - if the OP is claiming that he is the real/previous owner of the SIM and someone changed the ownership illegaly then he can re-issue it again and can log complaint to investigate it.

Being a previous owner - is enough.

Also if mobilink is saying that the SIM was never registered against his name then he can also re-issue the SIM by verifying frequent calls data and last rechage info - then register is against his name.

No one in mobilink can be smart enough to change the record at every level - as ownership detail is also there in PTA database which is shared by all operators on regular basis.
