Got my number back (H)
Went to Mobilink office Blue Area Islamabad.
Told them the whole story at the customer relations counter. They were reluctant to solve the issue. But then I pressurize them and told them that I am going to PTA office, I was loyal to Mobilink and that is what you are giving me in return blah blah. I also showed them the old dead SIM card.
Then they sent me to another counter. The girl was very cooperative there. She checked previous call records and then compared them with my phone directory. Finally she issued me the new SIM card. She took 80 Rs for that.
I was amazed to see that there were a lot of other people with the same complaint. Mobilink has no control over its employees and franchises. Every one is selling the already active numbers. She told me that in order to be on safe side in future, tag you number. In this way, no one would be able to mess with your number.
I gave her my ID card copy and she told me that she has tagged my number. It will be tagged in 24 hours.
After that I said that I want an official complaint against the people involve. She gave me a form, I filled it up, and gave it to her.
Anyone else gone through this tagging thing?

I can get ur sim back. My fees is 7000rs. 3500rs now , 3500 when u get the sim.

Yes you are right, everything is messed up.
I am not sure how exactly it works, but the person at counter told me that if you tag your number, it will become invisible to all the franchises.

Next time if u lost ur SIM then U have to visit service center to block it. Activate PIN code now.

Tagging means - no action will be taken against your number unless U visit service center with original CNIC.

Glad to know you got it back. PTA will reply you but after some time. As a matter of fact, they will reply you with a complaint no. that you can pursue with Mobilink. Then most probably you'll get a "dummy" mail from Mobilink asking you about your issue.

Go to Consumer Court and file a case against Mobilink. If u r telling the truth then u must have been making and receiving calls from and to certain number who could testify that it was your sim.

Then again one franchise could be corrupt not the entire mobillink management; before going to consumer court contact mobilink customer service manager in writing; give them a notice to reply with in ten days or else you may gp to a consumer court. if they dont help you proceed to consumer court. You can also claim damages from mobilink. This is a sheer violation of your rights and you should catch the culprits

A franchise from Lahore sold it to him.
The customer relation officer at Mobilink was telling me that we have taken a serious action against that franchise and they have to pay a heavy penalty. Don't know its true or not.

Yes, company should give me something. I have wasted my time and remained in stress.
