Exhaust pipe normally catch rust & doesnt last in original color due to heat. , Can u share the updated picture of its Exhaust, is chrome still there?
I had the heat resistant paint on the tail pipe and I must say that it lasted me long. I have the original tail pipe & it was coated with this material which looks like a thick layer of plastic, actually its paint.
Recently though, due to sudden changes in temp (extremely hot pipe going in cold water) the tail pipe is showing signs of cracking & I feel if I clean it rigorously with a cloth, the paint is going to come off.
One way to keep it not looking rusty is to apply a generous amount of red-oxide with a brush, that way you get a thick layered coating & after that apply whatever color you want, again with a brush. I hear that oil paints lasts well, but needs a great amount of time to dry, initially.

Thank U Sarmad, I raised this Query for My Moggie (Morris Minor Project), the only thing which doesnt look new is exhasut pipe & it is right below the carb. I will get that sand blasted & see for how long it looks new & 2nd option would be heat resistant paint u referred above.
