Asalamalikum i guess i can help you out, iam have an Spare BACk seat, Not only a frame but a complete Cussion regzine seat build up on it, in a perfect fine order. do let me know if interested.

hello all,

i'm a 4x4 enthusiast and though haven't been able to get my hands on one yet, would love to own at mutt someday.

i wanted to ask some specific questions from the knowledgeables here:

• is it possible to swap a different engine into the mutt, like a v6 or a modern efi engine?
• are canopies available for the mutt, like ppl use wrangler tops on willys?

Farrukh, Yes you can have other engines put in and as for a V6, a Nissan Cedric's can fit in. Naturally all these will need some major alterations. You also get hoods for Mutt, but a hardtop will have to be fabricated. Mutts come with heaters, but an AC will have to be installed if you wish.

Well yes its possible, funny but true and I have seen a Mutt in Brazil with an AC in it, there are some in the US who have done it too.
Mostly on with a hardtop, but theres an airconditioned one with a softtop too.

you guys might find it a bit odd but last weekend i was in Peshawar and i did come across a MUTT with an A/C (Box type) installed.

I have seen a 2D engine in a new Honda Civic i dont think they should have problem nor they will think twice installing an A/C in a MUTT

More shock absorption; provided by over-load springs within the main spring at the rear to account for the load of the 106 RR and its ammo.

When put to civil use (like ours) its recommended to take the over-load springs out to get rid of the extra bounce.

For my newly bought mutt m151a2, i have decided to place a toyota 2c engine.as suggested in this forum.
My mechanic says that i should place a ""charade engine"" and the 2c engine wont fit.
Now what alterations should be done in the 2c engine [], so that it perfectly fits in the mutt. I want no changes-alterations as regards body is concerned.

Welcome to the group of few Mutt Owners

As for your queries, haven't heard about a Charade engine in there, but a 2C definately sits in well. You just need to have the oil sump fabricated, or if you don't want that, a scoop in the hood accomodates the engine. You must have seen some with a raised hood or a buldge in it.

Since you have already bought one Mutt, what did you check in that before buying, suggest you check the same in the 2nd one

The Mutt which I have at the moment costed 130K only, without engine [The man actually made a electric generator out of the orignal engine] but MUTT had been painted, had seats and all other things.So I didn't need to check what all other stuff was...

As far as buying second Mutt is concerned, the reason is that we are three brothers and each of us love JEEps [especially MUTT] very much. When any one of us takes MUTT out of home, we start quarrelling, and now we are sharing our money to buy the second MUTT, so we dont quarrrel.Also, restoration will be easy, as the engine and mechanical works will be somewhat free. as the mecahanic is somewhat a FAMILY MECHANIC and the engine, again a 2c will cost half..............
