@Bugzy, Good to see you here. A beetle can do 75km/day & keep on running forever, I owned a clean 1968 economy in ash white color in parallel to my moggie before Mog, it was a real pleasure driving it around, pretty descent top speed as well, Best daily driver for winters.
I know I cant push the moggie consistanly on 60mph for more than 15min, cant even push it much in 1st or reverse gear, Gearbox is the weakest point of british cars of that era & its ideal speed is between 30mph-35mph. They say, put a corolla's gearbox in it and then push!
Resto is a learning process, I had ruined few family cars before this project and didnt wanted to repeat those blunders, however this one is getting tougher on me and the car demands much more time on weekdays.
Anyways, I am hopeful to put the car in final stage of resto by the end of this month.
