I just joined the club, bought q very clean decent moggie during my recent visit to Pakistan, thanks to Pakwheels, I saw one in the member ride section a day before my flight. Dropped an email to the owner not knowing if he would every reply. Received a call late in the evening and travelled all the way from Isloo to Adyala around 1 AM and the deal was closed within minutes, not only I got the moggie but also made a good friend, sadly, i could only drive it a few yards to park it safely before heading back, am writing this message from Casablanca. Will have a whizz on the wheels when I am back in town next.

@Razasyed, MashaAllah. I saw the car on Pakwheels & its a beauty. It has great potential and I hope it stays in your collection for a longer period. It was nice to meet you, would be waiting for your return visit.

Ramzan & Liaqat told me about the history of the car and they speak very high about it. You will find all the parts, old from here and fresh from ESM. Usually I get them delivered to a friend in UK who then ship it me or bring them over on his visit to here. I think this thread now needs pictures, pls post few

Old dust and paint removed. New carbons, clean up job and fresh paint!

In addition to the subject, each and every bolt was cleaned on the same buff machine to removed old dust n rust

I can only post pictures when I visit Isloo next. That will be IA around Feb/March 2010. Talking of spares, I know most moggies in Pakistan do not have an air filter element, I would hate to drive mine without one. Any clues about their availability in Pakistan? else I would add this to my shopping cart with ESM. My UK based friend has very kindly agreed to help me with the shipping and handling of spares. The previous owner tells me that the car vibrates a bit in top gear, I assume this is becuase of a worn out universal joint or imbalanced drive shaft - any insights???

Romano told me about his Moggie cabrio in white color, would love to see that car. Haven't seen a travellor here in Islamabad, the green car is in a Church in Lahore and blue is in Karachi.

Nops its not available, however there are people in Gawalmandi who can fabricate "if given the sample". But its better to get the original one for clean air intake :). The vibration scenario explained by you is definitely with the drive shaft join with rear excel, it should be on Top of the list once you are back. Hopefully you will get rear hub & axle oil seals from Ramzan. Probably fresh drive shaft as well!

Its engine tapped has a clip attached to the body under battery, in-case its broken then you can expect the car to vibrate. Also you would need to order Engine mountings via ESM.

have seen the white one, lovely machine and amazing denting work (by babar). i also have pics of the traveller and i must admit that it's a VERY rare site in PK,... sadly it seems this car will be leaving PK as well.

The foundations are perfect, I also checked the adjustable tie bar under the battery and it seemed fine, the culprit seems to be the imbalanced drive shaft. In any case, it would be wise to get the mountings from ESM just in case. When you visit Ramzan next, could you kindly ask him to reserve the chrome dash panel for me the silver garnish around the speedo meter, mine has some deep scratches buffing wont scrape off. Also if Ramzan could hunt and reserve a master cylinder, I will source the repairing kit from ESM. The only alteration in my moggie is the master cylinder, I even have the original dynamo with lucas coil mounted on top

@RazakSyed, MashaAllah. The car is in awsome shape :). 3 AA badges wow. It looks post 64 Model, what is the color of speedo meter? & does rear lights are pure red or indicators are seperate? Also check the Model on Wiper Machine. Pre 64 are my favorite and love the rear light style, steering wheel design etc.

Original Dynamo that's very rare. Is it functional or replaced with generator?

I have asked Ramzan to reserve a Master Cylinder for U, very few left in his stock.

Also check the hand brake cables, mine were jam and have recently got the same from ESM. Also buy fresh brake wheel cylinder service kit.

All credit goes to the previous owners, I didnt do anything yet. It was auctioned from the Australian embassy in 1999 and went in safe hands

The registration says 1962, I need to revalidate this. The rear indicators are small one piece and the indicators and brakelights can not be distinguished if this tells something. I do not remember the interior much, only saw it for a few hours.
The hand brake if perfectly fine in fact the owner drove it all the way from pindi to drop it at my place on failed brakes his only resort to avoid a head on was this functional hand brake (with chromed push disengage button):-!
