Toyota keeps on improving their Hybrids, they are the next best thing to an EV without the disadvantages of an EV.

Yes they are old, tried and tested and successful engines here in Australia.

So do the newer ones have longer interval failure rates, like previously, every few years abs would crap out, battery pack would need replacement. There was that oil consumption issue.
How many of these have been resolved

are you taking about the Toyota Camry 2018 to 2023? no such issues reported here in Australia that i am aware of, mine comes with a 7 years Toyota warranty and 10 years battery warranty. Camry are the world best selling cars i hope you are not talking about these

no i don't do off-roading bro, its just to see how it feels like owning a diesel car, this is my 1st Diesel car. i think i mentioned previously that during my Telco days in Pakistan i drove the Prado's, Vego's and Tiger D4D's, but i wanted to see how it feels owning one. Prado is pretty miserable when used in 7 seats configuration as there is no boot space at all if you do that.

Toyota hybrids in general had these issues, all prius, crown, corollas, fielders, camrys

Aah. Diesels are fun to own, immense torque and the turbo makes it more fun to gun down.
For utility in plains or motorways, petrol is a much better option but if the terrain is mountainous, diesel feels alot better, more effortless driving

I don't think any such issues are reported here in Australia, Even if it does, that's the advantage of buying a car with factory warranty, anything that fails will be replaced under warranty 7 years for the car and 10 years for the battery, so no issues.

Thats good to know. In Pakistan, warranty claim is also something that only the persistent people are provided, mostly people are misguided or refused claims

Yes, that's what i have heard as well, here people have won law suits against big automotive companies if they are not dealt with fairly, the class action against Ford where they were not accepting transmission issues on their Ford Focus were fined very heavily. so the companies take any warranty related issues very seriously.

The car delivery truck driver didn't realise how low the 370Z is from factor and delivered a surprise along with the car yesterday

Yeah they agreed to pay the repair cost, which was around $550 AUD. Got it repaired last week, looks all good now. They are trying to do their job but sometime things like these do happen, i wouldn't say an oversight or negligence but a slight miscalculation of how low the car is. They were charging me $490 to transport the car from Adelaide to Melbourne and ended up paying me $550. I guess they have their own insurance cover as well. I have used them before a few times, they are generally good.
