Hi Fellow Pakwheelers!
Here are some pics of the first car I have bought in UAE. I purchased it in Dec 2011 from a dear friend in Abu Dhabi but have been slow in posting it on Pakwheels. Some of the UAE members have already seen my car in the last meet. Here are some specifics of the car + works that I have had to get done to bring it to its current condition (which is not too much by the way). Part of the reason of this thread is also to dis-spell myths about German cars (reliability, parts & maintenance cost) and share my experience about maintaining a BMW in my first three months of ownership.
It's a 1995 BMW 325i (also known as the e36) (2.5L 6 cylinder, 189hp with a rate 0-60mph time of 7.5 seconds!). It has been in the UAE for approx 3-4 years now I am its third owner in UAE and the first two owners and their driving habits are known to me. Its a Japanese import hence the low milage (94500 km only when I bought it. Exceptionally low for a 17 years old car). Now it stands at 99500 km. There were plenty of people who were skeptical about the mileage of the car, but according to my analysis, it is the true mileage. There are a couple reasons for that which I will go into later.
Enjoy the pics... and I am long forward to your feedback, suggestions and any advice from pakwheelers who've owned BMW's in the past (especially in UAE / Gulf) is highy appreciated.
Ciao!
