So the first expense of the car came in the form of changing tyres. i would really call it a expense the current tyres were okay but i wanted new ones, current ones had small cracks on the outside and in the tread even though they had a lot of thread left and were not even expired manufacturing date was 2011 michillen energy. i almost hate michiilen energys i have them on another car and its a very avg tyre at best, now trouble with mercedes benz tyres is its recommended to replace with Continental or Michillen. i went for continental in 205/60R 15 size but finding this size in continental and that too in a import not smuggled tyre with matching and fresh manufacturing dates proved to be a bit of challenge. in the end found a authorised continental dealer in defence and they had exactly what i was looking for so ended up buying Continental Comfort Contact 5 in 205/60 r15. one tyre cost was 12.5k. i changed them just in time as on inspecting them out of the car the threads have lot of cracks, the tyres only sold for 2.5k for 4 tyres.
i was left of easy as continental tyres especially in bigger rim sizes are super expensive, our close freind who has a 2004 e class with 225/55 r 16 tyres got a quote of 30k per tyre for continental premium contact 2 fresh imported not smuggled tyres. so keep that in mind if you go tyre shopping for a mercedes.

the tyre up front is the original 12 year old spare tyre never used but i thought to change it anyway as 12 years is too much, i changed it with a regular 195/65 r 15 tyre just in case of emergencies
the tyre on the back is what i bought

now the drive improved a lot, the profile seemed right for this car now its poise under braking and acceleration seemed better and sound reduced dramatically now it was so quite that ac blower seemed a but noisy at full blast:P, can't actually comment much on grip and handling as didn't even get close to testing them in traffic or lahore city, just a couple of runs up and down airport road and they seemed to have really good road holding.
