In terms of acceleration prosmatecs are better than cvt and other automatics but the transmission used in Vezel DCT is the best one

Havent driven a CVT yet.and yes DCTs are the best.Almost all luxury and sports car manufacturers are putting a DCT nowadays.

Cvts are just meant for fuel economy.... And they ruin engine life if floored as the rpm remains near red line all the time and car accelerates like a tortoise

I was disappointed when I became to knw that the civic X has cvt

The feeling and sensation when it upshifts during hard acceleration is very satisfying and this would be missing in a CVT so maybe it wouldn't feel as satisfying.

When you floor the prosmatecs they usually shift near the red line and the car just like jumping more faster hehehehehehe and I think in rolling race a prosmatec would be better than a manual

By the way had a drag of about 200 m on My 660 ALTO with a Mehran euro 2

You couldn't even control the rpm after vtec kicks in hahahahaha

I used to drive my dad's eagle eye prosmatec... Once I raced with an exi manual both was a rolling start and my prosmatec Vti was far ahead to manual exi don't know how but in D3 that car did 180 and I was like the engine will burst now hahahahaha

In the first gear mehran had a slight lead very slight,but as I put it from L towards D the Alto smoked it and I couldn't believe what just happened.
Firslty it was an auto secondly smaller engine but on paper alto has more HP So really love JDMs.Was a special car

I had a Vitz but cvt I hate that tranny... But rollas ect is just average... Simply missing dad's old eagle eye prosmatec that was far better in acceleration and performance than my 2k16 altis

Whats the Max speed acheived on Altis?
And does the 4 speed tranny feel smooth or does it feel lacking a 5 th gear

Haven't checked it's limits but it's too much slow after 150
It seems like car wouldn't even reach 180 or if reached it will take hell time.. I think so 160-170 would be max... it has a very different kind of gearbox... car has longer shifts like Hondas but when you floor it feels like you have to pray for the car to accelerate faster.. No fun yr it's a 1.6L but Im missing that eagle eye that was he'll faster than this.. That can do 200 or maybe 210 but this one is too slow.. If you have to climb a hill this one lacks power and feels underpowered

Ahan.Other than the engine and tranny I must say the features provides with the Altis are great.Like EBD,Imobiliser etc

Yeah but abs isn't that good like Hondas...
If you have to apply sudden brakes it feels like brakes have failed but they are as Toyota made them... BTW it's not bad car I like it though but vtec kinda thing is missing in it
