Not offending you, just trying to put the facts right.

• Engine Power: Well, google up Corolla 2002, it says 84HP. Google Corolla 2017, it says 84HP. Trust me, they never even tested it. You're a better judge, the engine is completely revamped, at least different from 2002. How can it be still 84HP? Of what I think, both, Honda and Toyota, have their horses above 100, with city obviously stronger, but not much of a difference. My friend who has a Gli Manual, raced a City Manual, and they both went neck to neck till like 100, after which the i-vtec kicked in, and city killed it.

• City does have a lighter body, agreed.

• It does. But where's the remote trunk opener, which the corolla has on the key fob?

• Yes, it's more fuel effecient. Although smaller tank of 42L, compared to corolla's 55L.

• Nope. Corolla 2014 onwards have Euro 4 PLUS Catalytic Converter. Where's the Catalytic converter in your dear honda, good sir?

• Lower theft rate? Without an immobilizer? Immobilizer has been introduced in the features update, with the new grill, in honda. But the GLi had it since May. So, your city does not have immobilizer, I'm sorry.

• It's not about the number of gears, it's about gear ratios. In City, the RPM at 120 is at 3600-3800 Revs. In a Gli 4 Speec ECT, it's at around 2800-3000. Although, Prosmatec is better in acceleration.

• The heavier the body, the more the stability. Trust me on this one, city shakes around 160, and corolla is smooth all the way to 175. And these cars don't really roll, unless you want them to. They're usually very stable at high and low speeds.

I'm not a Honda fan. I have a City standing in the same very porch as my Corolla Gli. Besides these, there are several more reasons I personally prefer Corolla over City, like:
- Reading lights. (PICTURE)
- Much better Key Fob, with panic button and trunk release. (PICTURE)
- Brightness settings for the speedometer.
- ABS + EBD + Brake Assist (City does not have brake assist, which works on slopes e.t.c.)
- Much newer and sleeker look, unlike city's Nine year old shape.
- Covered hood on the inside, trunk, the engine e.t.c. Honda is not fond of covering their engines.

Point 1: VTEC kicks in at 4300 RPM no regardless of speed.And yes 1.3 of City is has more horsepower because its displacement is more i.e 1339 cc (I didn't knew it untill recently) plus VTEC

Point 3: Agreed it doesn't have a Trunk opener.But hey 11th Gen Corolla is a newer car whereas the City is being continued since 2008/9

Point 5: You might be right.
Could you please give a reference where it is stated.

Point 6: Sir many on PW will agree XLI has had the highest theft rates (without immobiliser) and during that period Hondas werent much stolen.

Point 7: Correct again,Its about gear ratios.
But At 120 RPM in City is at 2500 RPM (Prosmatec)

Point 7: Yes Downforce helps but during cornering City's suspension and less weight helps more.

And as for the last points about EBD and reading lights etc 100% Agree plus it is Quiter and Yes more Comfortable.As for the Quality not at all happy with Honda Dont know about Corolla.
Well let me state some more points
LED backlights much more efficient and visible (safer)
Low and high beams are independent and both can stay on.
Power steering of Corolla is softer.
Body Panel gap is uniform

Point 5: I didn't quite get, which do you need reference with. I own a 2017 Corolla Gli, so you know.

Point 7: I'm not being biased or anything. As I stated above, I have a Honda in the same porch as the Toyota. I've taken both cars to their limits, you have probably not driven a Corolla around 160. Do that, trust me

But here's the verdict. I'm more happy to wake up in the morning, look out the window and see a City than I would, a Corolla. If it's only single person driving the car, honda gives a better feel, till around 140. (Who takes it beyond that, honestly) So, I'm personally more of a Honda guy, BUT only if Honda Atlas introduces the new City, or introduces ALL the features of this model, as were in the international version or so. Again, not offending you, neither being obnoxious, I love Honda more than Toyota myself. Your car, sir, looks just beautiful, Mashallah!

Brother XLI didnt have immobiliser untill start of 2017.GLI had immobiliser.
And City has Catalytic Convertor brother in fact a 3 way catalytic convertor and Honda is the Only euro 4 Emissions standard Car manufacturer in Pakistan.(Stated on Website) where does it say Corollas XLI/GLI are Euro 4 compliant

Very good and detailed description of getting a new car and comprehensive review about 1.3 Prosmatic City. I would love to have your opinion about the drive experience of a 1.5 prosmatic City in comparison. Thank you bro
