No problems as such. Just routine stuff. Maximum is long self for starting sometimes........failure to start etc. Nothing serious.

That's not a big problem usually gas generators do this as we don't have stable gas pressure here.

I think all the products are now manufactured in China under the licence of companies and they are providing the same quality stuff no compromise in it. Doesn't matter if its manufactured in china means cheap or low quality product.

Here are a few pictures of a 110 KVa diesel Generator being used at our office since 1981.
It has a Nissan Diesel 6 Cylinder Engine I guess and a NishiHatsu Japanesse Alternator.
Its running like a work horse since the last 32 years without even a single problem. All they do is Oil and Oil filter, Air Cleaner change. It Consumes almost 8-9L of Diesel per Hour.
Very Durable and very solid.
Has a speed adjustment (RPM) and even the voltage trimmer (110-260 V).

It doesn't have an hour meter........guess they didn't make one back then. According to its daily maintained log book since its purchase.......it has roughly more than 50,000 on it.........Ill check again and let you know the exact hours

^8-9 litter/hour is very cheap for this big genset. I think its cheaper then KESC. They are charging 10rs/kv/hr. This genset is giving 8.7rs/kv/hr. Why one would run on KESC I am very poor at maths may be i am doing some thing wrong here.

Its consumption is very low as per this logic your 15kva would not exceed 1.5 litter/hour :S

How about if you can run off the grid through solar panels at day time while keeping your UPS charged up for the night with out any additional battries except for the UPS. I am working on a project now a days........hope it finishes in time after a small pilot plant experiment. Ill post the details in a couple of weeks. Expexted cost should be within 50 to 70k excluding a 3.2KVA, 24 volts ups with battries that i already have.

why you want to use solar panels and ups are you not satisfied with you genset?
plz also tell fuel consumption of your genset

Solar panel prices will come down only when china will start pouring crap..........and it would always be crap. Cost of batteries is the main problem which I dont see coming down. Its a whole mafia. Secondly, what i concluded about solar energy is that its not completely reliable................
People in USA and some other westren countries which get to see some good sunlight have installed solar panels which through an electronic module send the extra electricity back to the grid and get credits for it in thier monthly bill for contributing to the electricity generation. Now hows that

Genset is fine. I like experimenting different things when i'm free. Fortunately, I have the resources and some expert skilled people on my side who would sacrifice thier rest over my command/desire.........
I will share what i am upto only if i succeed in it. Need to spare a lot of time for such projects, I hope you understand.

15k from lahore and around 19k from rwp. Theres a lot of fluctuation in prices plus they're all chienesse. When i was intially working on the solar project even before getting the genset, i had a friend in seimens.......an engineer by trade........they have very good quality solar panels made in germany...........trust me! You cant even imagine the prices of those setups!!!
Dont talk to me about the market.........they are all self educated ripp offs who know nothing about panels! I am surprised how boldly they give 50 yrs warranty of the panel. In actual, photovoltic cells start losing efficiency after 10 to 12 years to 90 % and the graph is steep down.
No one in the market even knows how to check the efficiency of a solar panel let alone they would check it for you!!!
Bro I will discuss in detail once i start on the project and get some results. At the moment I am tryibg to grab hands on a reference photovoltic cell which to date seems to be quite a task.

Yeah i know its a hybrid system but still it will save few bucks if they increase the size of panel, Have you check out my other link which are for DC air conditioned i will make a call on Monday to check what they are offering and warranty and setup price then update it here.

70k for a 1ton unit is not bad if they give what they are promising.

Solar panel is one time investment the problems lies in Battery which is expensive and required replacement to. But i have heard govt. pulled of all the taxes on solar panel import there price should go down then.

You wont be able to use the AC for a peaceful night sleep due to lack of sunlight and also in humid weather (barsat) (when its required most) due to the rain and clouds........

you are right all panels are chinese in local markets and in 15k what you would expect but they are much more than nothing.
my friend have Sharp solar panels (Japanese) and i have never seen such quality

Talking of DC air conditioner. There are inverter technology ac as well which use very less electricity

Any one try those and where to buy one. Hard they consume around 1500 watt while running

I got mine from Pana communications who are authorized distributors of lister petter having there office in islamabad. Check thier website. The cost of generator itself is 0.7 million. Others things add up and it reaches 0.9m. I have given the breakdown somewhere in the previous posts in detail.
You can look for kohler and generac in gas (if you prefer gas).
