Couldn't update for some time. I did a DIY clean of the power steering fluid reservoir and drained then topped up power steering fluid.
Method: First thoroughly cleaned the outer body off grime. Then soaked the bottle in a solution of 50% water, 50% petrol and some surf detergent. Let it soak over night and then drain away the solution. Pour petrol from the inlet, shake the bottle and drain. Repeat from all ports and then using pressurised air, get rid of any petrol.

To drain lines, jacked up the car, turned the steering end to end several times. This will drain a lot of fluid. In the end, started engine and turned off within a few seconds.

In the end, refitted reservoir, connected lines and filled the reservoir with fresh Dexron III ATF from Kixx. Keepig the car jacked up, turned the steering wheel end to end several times and topped up again. Then started the engine and turned the steering, topped up again. That's it. Astonishing results.

One of the headlights was cracked. Got a pair of crystal looking plastic headlights from Montgomery Road. Have installed them and they look nice The lights have a small bluish parking light which looks great.

I was on the lookout for crystal rear lights. Found a pair at Montgomery Road. The price was 8500 but was very low quality. So I got a pair of genuine lights from torkham. Cost me 6000 but they are like new.

Custom made floor mats. I know a very skilled craftsman who is an expert with seats, door cards, ceiling lining etc. He is especially good with exotic cars and SUVs. Can replicate anything by looking at a picture. I shall be happy to share his contact if anyone is interested. Just a little over priced but quality has price.

Yes you are absolutely right. Pajeros are really comfortable and fun to drive, but the ruggedness and power of a Land Cruiser are unmatched. It is a different kind of fun. I am loving it so far.

He is in Gulberg. If you go from jail road onto canal road towards FC College underpass, you will come across a road along side a sewerage drain on the left. There are some famous heavy bike mechanics on this road as well. His shop is in that market under name of Madina Poshish. He replicated the original Pajero mats for two of my friends from original.

Awesome, I dont know about gear ratios and differential ratios but I get 120 km/h at 2300 rpm only and I went to 160 km/h only once at 3000 rpm.

Wow! 160 kmph @ 3000 RPM seems quite unbelievable. I could hardly manage 130kmph @ 3000 RPM!

are you making use of the overdrive at all.
if not then overdrive should be used when you get up to cruising speeds.

Please elaborate a little further. My OD is always in ON position, means the O/D Off Light is always off.

No worries at all....OD should remain on that is that "OD Off" light should remain off, under normal driving conditions

Only if you feel the need to restrict the transmission to shift up from 3rd to 4th you should switch the OD Off. In that case the OD Off light will appear on the instrument cluster.

The gear ratio of a Toyota Land cruiser Prado are not the same as SURF.....So you will see the 1KZ staying in a very comfortable rev band in a SURF on 120 Km/H as compared to a Parado...so no problem with that at all

Though the Oil pressure is not where it should be at 3000 rpm
