Not unless you start to say.. oh! I have purchased 1.6 Altis, and feel sorry for those who purchased grande or other 1.8 variants. If you don’t have money admit it than, why pointing fingers on those who purchased it? If someone can afford better car than you, it doesn’t mean that it’s a waste of money!

My opinion is a little different. Grande is a great car but that greatness comes at a 'Cost' which a lot of people like me are not willing to pay for a ' Corolla', no matter how good that is; but the fanboys will never understand.
Try to make this opinion that the 1.6FL is a balanced 'Corolla' on Pakwheels and the fanboys will come up with defensive strategy singing all praise for Grande lolz.

Why do i need to defend the top variant? that’s bit idiotic IMO. I myself ain’t have grande. I own 2016 1.8 altis cvti cruisetronic, but that doesn’t mean i say its balance and bla bla keyboard jockey stuff, coz i purchased at the price where 1.6 is standing now.
I still say that top variant is the top variant. There is no word like balance in lower variants.

Grande's drive is way better than 1.6, it responses instantly when you push the throttle a little. I have kept 1.6 FL for 4 to 5 months before owning a grande, 1.6 is a very good car in that price bracket have enough goodies but one negative point is its 4 speed auto. Grande returns every bit of extra money spent on it.

Dlaa will get dirty with water however with additional sealing theyll work fine for quite sometime.

I like to keep cars stock therefore I havnt thought of putting fog lights. I find them useless anyways.

No offence to anyone, but this was kind of rude, agar Allah na apko ziada dia ha iska matlab ye nae ka ab guoor karay.
Coming to the point, Alhamdulillah we do had money to buy Grande, but it was mine and my Father's personal decision to get 1.6 as it offers best value for money. Yes, Grande does have extra features but they come at a price, they're not free, right? For 25 Lacks, you hardly have 2 to 3 choices, namely Ciaz, BR-V and 1.6 Altis, comparing these 3 cars. 1.6 was had better features and offered best value for money.
Why we didn't went for Grande? It's because all the extra features would have costed us almost 4 lacs more which are kinda shashkas i.e sunroof, climate control, and bi-bean headlights. Only 1 thing that 1.6 lacks is a CVT transmission, otherwise it's a good car overall, at least better than other options available in this price range.
