My Visit To Khewra Salt Mines

Friends..this last sunday..I went on a trip arranged by my office to Khewra Salt Mines..

Believe me guyz, I haven't seen anything like it before..Its like the 8th wonder of the world..Its simply amazing..

Amazingly the internal temperature of the mine was 18 C degrees and it was constantly maintained by very ingenious ventilation and air ducting system. The mine has 11 stroies in total and only 1 storey is open for visitors, which is very well organized and maintained.

There is chandni chowk, bhaati chowk, bano bazar, maal road, jheel saif al malook, Chaghi ka pahar, GPO and a very beautiful mosque..All made up of SALT !!

Till now, 110 square miles of salt has been drawn from this beautiful mine and it is estimated that there is still 1000 years of salt remaining in the mine..simply amazing.

Dead Sea (6) This lake is made of super saturated salt soulution. No more salt can be mized into this lake anymore and yes.. U cannot drown in this lake;-)
