Sir to make professional grade items, one must have access to the right tools & proper knowledge.
I spend time with limited tools and most of my items are far away from perfection.
But still it gives great amount of satisfaction in return by seeing those products in daily use (like Tables, Cutting boards, knife holders, spoon holders, key hangers, etc.).

What I am trying to do is to coax you out of your comfort zone and move you to somewhat more professional area. Yes I know you are limited to you knowledge and tools. At the end of the day if one remains in ones comfort zone and does not venture into the scary unknown then there is little joy in the hobby.

Anyhow I predict that in a few years you will have REALLY moved forward in both your skill and knowledge. and will look back at these times and wonder why you didn't get there earlier

My wife is a landscape painter. I am going to share her older wok and a much later work. Here one can see the progression of the artist's skill with the passage of time.

This is a place in France called Monet's garden. Wife wanted to go see this place so we went there and she painted it. Painted around 2018

This is my latest production.

I made this tool box to put in the car/jeep in the trunk.

It has good space to hold tools of many kinds including many tiny things like grease packing, RTVs, Wires, Tape, pipes, etc.

AMG is the log of the whatsapp group of old pakwheelers. Group name is AutoMobiles & Gadegets.

I love the handles btw which are attached with 2 inches long screws of 8mm thick but you cannot see it from here

Earlier I thought to add the tray or a small open box on the one side to put small items like electrical fuses, rubber o rings, electrical tape, etc.

But now I’ve painted it with lacquer, so adding something now would take very long time in sanding to remove the layer of lacquer first and then add box or tray and then close it for final finish.

I guess in my next similar project, I will add one.

The amg was cut with jigsaw. It took lof of time to cut the word G specially. It was not easy

You are doing great , just a suggestion, get wood shiner (not polish) shiner is also mixed with sprit like polish but it is almost colorless and coats wood for protection and shine. It will put a finishing look on these items.

Of course your are not gonna apply it on cutting board and spoon holder etc.

Actually I don’t use polish on woods. I mostly use lacquer aka clear coat and mix nearly 20-30% thinner.

In pictures it doesn’t show. But these wood items does has good shine when looking at them at naked eye.

Once I did buy a polish and tried it on a project. It really helps and makes the wood grains very clear & eye catching. But it doesn’t provide protection like lacquer does. Hence now I use lacquer only.

You are very right. For items like Cutting boards, spoon holders, etc. these coatings are not good to apply on. I only use mineral oil on them.

after watching youtube video i actually tried to make a cutting board with different designs of wood in the middle.

but it didn't went as i want. so i convert it into the tray

another very simple project of mind but very useful too
i made this stand to put flowers plants on it.

since it has to be used in outdoor, hence instead of applying paint, i applied a thin coat of epoxy on it which makes it water proof.
its over 2 years and still going well at terous

Made from Cheerr wood.
i love the color of the wood and its grains.

Tried to make a chess board with 1.5 inch thicker wood.
But failed . I turned it into table top.
It was like among very top 3 projects of mine.
BTW, this table is still in use and receives lots of compliments.

and when some guests are in home, you put glasses and plates on it, it looks awesome.
