Nainital, India, a trip to the most famous hill station of India

Living in Delhi NCR makes it easier to explore the most beautiful part of this vast country due to its proximity to the Himalayan region, whether it be the majestic Himalyan villages or small but beautiful hill towns of the state of Himachal or Uttarakhand.
I had recently shared the pics and details of my trip to Shimla, which is in Himachal Pradesh, and now I present before all my friends here the most famous hill station of India which is in Uttrakhand state and around 300 km from Delhi.

Nainital is famous for the Naini Lake, the pics of which you can see above. It is has the High Court of the State and Governor Residence.

We went there in the month of May some years back, the travelers included me, my school time friend and her wife. I was forced to be a 'Kabab mein haddi' but my love for hills did not allow me to withdraw.

If anybody of you have seen the movie 'Krissh' of Hrithik Roshan in which there was an alien called Jaduu, the school that you see in this pic is the same school which was shown in the movie where basket ball competiton had taken place.

Well the Britishers might have looted India a lot but they build some magnificent building across India, imagine building this beautiful structure at a height of 5000 ft, that too almost 100 years back or more.
This is the current house of the Governor of the State.

The next day our guide told us that we can track up to a point from where the China is visible, more young at that time we did not think twice and treaded on. From the point called china peak the same lake in above pics and the whole city of Nainital looks this.

Boating in the Lake is the main attraction of the town.

At that time I had a Hyundai Santro, and I loved it on hills.

The roads all throughout were as beautiful as the surroundings.

Then the next day we headed to mukteshwar which is around 30 km from Nainital and famous for a temple and beautiful views. The above pic shows the guest house at Mukteshwar

The person sitting at the cliff is our guide. This place is called choli ki jali, dont know why but you can enjoy rock climbing here. I did and won't do it again.

I love the hills because you get the opportunity to park your car on the roofs of other as in the above pic. It is parked on the terrace of some building while we enjoyed chai and pakora in the restaurant.

We also went for a jungle safari which was basically a less used road generally used by forest officials so obviously we had to meet the wild life.

Luckily we also encountered some rain on our returning back to Nainital from Mukteshwar

The weather demanded a necessary chai pakora break at a small tea stall besides the road leading to Naintal.
